random_Aeldari_User
So I have a Wraith army and am deciding what to use in my last 375 points. I was thinking of a Spirit seer to recover wounds on my wraithknight but how necessary would it be for wraithguards/blades and also how to protect it while still utilizing its auras Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388373-how-necessary-is-a-spiritseer-in-a-wraith-focused-army/ Share on other sites
Bouargh
Based on Psychic Guidance rule only (which is found on most wraith constructs DS, but not the knight nor the hemlock), any Psyker can unlock this boost. So the Spiritseer makes no specific difference in that respect. But once combined with its capacity to regenerate models or lost wounds, he becames invaluable. On course he cannot receive any fancy Singing spear and his powers may look like being less combat oriented. In fact this guie is not meant to fight, only defend himself is assaulted in H2H. But he gives survivabilty to units that are already not that easy to erase. As such it may force the oponnent to use a serious amount of rressources on the Wraiths. And as he is not a Leader, but a Lone Operative (if close enough), he can boost up Wraith lords, Wraith knights too... This lad can therefore allow a Wraith knight to survive when other titanic units would have been blown away for a while. That plus the option to unlock a sustained hit on one wraith unit... It is not a mandatory choice, none is, but I personnaly never go out with one if I field Wraithblades or guards. Galron
I see them as pretty manditory. I have three in my wraith host. One for each brick of various wraiths headed for the objectives. They are cheap enough.
