I've elsewhere been told that the book indeed takes place after the fall of Cadia/creation of the Great Rift. So... a small retcon/fudge of what had come before.

 

 

It opens with the Blackstone fortress hitting Cadia. As for exact dates etc there's a lot of time travel etc. It didn't matter too much to me.

If you're referring to the whole Dorn thing, where people were saying that Trazyn has him because one of his pokeballs had the "Praetorian, 7th"

 

Its confirmed later that its not Dorn, and that the youtubers that started the whole drama need to go back and retake reading comprehension classes

I would have imagined it was a case of reading “Praetorian” and dropping the book their and then to be first online with the “scoop”.

Trazyn has a statue of one of the two missing primarchs and Orikan uses it as a barricade against some Chaos demons invading Solemnance. Trazyn scolds him for using it like that and getting it destroyed then Orikan says it was either that or the statue of you from Serenade.
