Lathe Biosas
I've been looking at the Red Corsairs and thought about mixing them with Dark Angels bits and using them as the Risen (as they are scale appropriate with Primaris models). I'm just not sure what to use them as. Inner Circle Companions maybe? Got any suggestions? Karhedron
That is a cool idea as I do like the aesthetic of the Red Corsairs. I don't feel that they fit as ICCs though because they have an eclectic mix of wargear whereas ICCs all have greatswords. Maybe a better solution would be to run a Renegade Raiders list to represent a complete force of Fallen that have been redeemed by the Lion but not integrated into the mainline Dark Angels due to <insert plausible reason here>. Steer clear of the obviously daemonic units and paint them in DA colours. Lathe Biosas
The problem is that I can't get a decent Chaos army that doesn't have some daemonic entity (defiler) or strange mutations in it. The Risen were Fallen Angels who didn't go down the Chaos path, and it's really limiting to a point of nonplayability, to try and build a Chaos army without Chaos. It's the same reason why my REDACTED Alpha Legion Loyalists ended up being a Kill Team instead of a full army. Using them as ICC though should work. I found a 3rd party dark angels greatswords. I'll just have to see how they match up with the actual models. Plus, I thought it would be fun to have 6 former Fallen Angels on parole under the watchful eye of Asmodai. The army (which will have to undergo some major changes when the new Codex is released), was a Chaplain Heavy Interrogation Conclave, Lion's Blade Task Force force. Raziel-TX
I think you could pull them off as risen given enough sanding and filing of the chaotic bits off. Add some third party gloomy angel bits and you’re golden. Gamiel
I would use them as normal marines or veterans, since most of the Fallen were not something special before the attack on Caliban and many of them have not spend that long running around after being spit out into the 40k precent. This. I mean I wouldn't fluff it that way in head cannon. All Risen are "special" and the fact that they hid so long from an entire chapter plus of Space Marines says so. But they could still be just regular Intercessors and such because that's what the chapter needs, or what theyre best at and so forth. Lathe Biosas
I saw someone else do some models up, and I like where they were headed. I would change the shoulderpads to give them the modern green shoulderpad to make them fit with the rest of the army. I think mixing them into units might be fun as the Risen are all first born marines. (Do have the urge to put the Lion in black armour though) Not mine: Rockybaerboa, Gamiel and Cpt.
