Wouldn’t make any sense, flaming spectral marines can’t be operated on.

They've been picking up Greyshields from Torchbearer Fleets that got lost in the warp.

You’ve lost me there, but even if Primaris Marines are resurrected into the Legion, you’ve still got the majority being firstborn marines from before the great rift era.

Legion of the damned

Here is hoping they are still classic style, fingers crossed!!!

I'm curious about this one too. Will they stick to the previous kits with just an upscale? Will they include some Mk X? Will Cawl invent a way to have ghosts cross the Rubicon?

Hopefully 40k is more than just Custodes. With editions having such a short lifespan they could do with getting at least another 2/3 codexs out this side of Christmas.

Wildcard: legions imperialis custodes. Come on GW my tiny tables needs some shiny.

I like your thinking. Been a while since an LI release and pretty much no low hanging fruit left. So time for something new.

An actual plastic model for Tyberos would be awesome.

It'd be nice to have SOMETHING for Chapters not part of the original Legions at this point.

Tau are supposed to be after custodes. Valrak iirc had said early 2027. If custodes drop November that makes sense as marines are October.

We've still got the pre painted terrain plus the downed thunderhawk to drop yet too.

It'd be nice if they Legion of the Damned were older marks but I think they will be manifested in the newer Tacticus armour I think and probably ruined with loads of unnecessary three dimensional flames and warp effects rather than just cover them in bones and stuff.

Wouldn't surprise me if the scarab was more Prospero stuff.

GW already made the new Sanguinor with primaris features, despite the character being originally a Sanguinary Guard Herald from the HH.
So the chances of a Legion of the Damned refresh ignoring all the Fire Hawks' chapter lore are very high.

Yeah, that doesn't make it any good. He ended up looking like Conan crossed with Handsome Squidward.

Sanguine doesn’t really have hard Primaris features, the backpack flaps are the only thing Primaris.  Certainly no MKX Tacitus elements to his body armour.

Most of the Legion of the Damned will still be firstborn with no way to make them otherwise.

I want to believe it's an XX in Kill Team colours, but I assume it's a boring dorf rune.

"XX" reminds me of the Alpha Legion, and we know they have a character mini pending to be released...

The Sanguinor's helmet, jetpack, sword, and iron halo are 100% primaris

Legions of the Damned will obviously be primaris. Firstborn loyalist are HH only now. Cause mixing the ranges makes GW's staff have an aneurysm. (Minus Custodes, they didn't know how to seperate the ranges)

Nope.  None of those are specifically MKX tactics, as in Primaris specific.  Only the backpack flaps are Primarisy.

Smol Primarchs :)

Though thats the type of perfect release for a non new edition of 40k or AOS year

Hoping for something interesting for the legions as the 30k reveal(s) as while I absolutely love the recent Mark IV release, there's still so many gaps to fill. Seekers, recon, destroyers, Sicaran variants, outriders, javelins, anything legion specific would all be very much appreciated.

I hope not. I would prefer if they follow the trend set by the Red Corsair Raiders and Chaos Marines. Legion of the Damned and the Grey Knights are the only two Marine things I'm really excited about.

considering they're revenant marines I think we're in the clear. Its probable that some of them may have primaris armor components but I highly doubt they'll be all mk x like some people are saying.

Unless all the pre-primaris Legion of the Damned just conveniently went on holiday in the warp. I really hope they're mostly how they used to look too.

I don't think it's confirmed that they're revenants.

IIRC, the 2014 Codex: Legion of the Damned gave equal time to the (newer) "maybe they're restless spirits" and the (original) "maybe they're the Fire Hawks with a warp-disease-powers".

Though if GW does go with the more "ghost rider" version, then them being psychic manifestations would make MkX more "loreful". (As opposed to being marines damned to an ignoble death; where it's a bit more of a stretch that they were resupplied.)

@Chapter Master Valrak has been talking about plastic Abbadon and Justaerin so those are possible, alongside another journal perhaps?

That'd be cool. I don't do SOH but I would be tempted by a 30K Abandon, especially if they make him lore accurate big.

I'm still hoping for Sabres but I would love to see Sisters getting expanded.
