WBRBloom
Years ago an uncle of mine who dubbed his feet in artistry while he was in uni, told me that there is this process that is called 'maturation'. It has to do with ideas in your head, that are formed, you try them once, they do not come out as you expect them, but you continue thinking about them in your head. Not in a specific way, just thinking about them. Later, when you try them again after a while, they seem to work as you intended. I don't know if it was because of that conversation or because it does work that way, but I always found it worked for me. It's one of the reasons I left the older miniatures for so long and got to painting these only recently. @Brother Christopher I can totally relate to what you say, especially this: 12 hours ago, Brother Christopher said: At this point in life, I'm just not ready to up my painting game. And I think it's important to note that this is neither good or bad - it's just something I feel to be natural. It resonates SO MUCH with how I feel, usually, most of the time, that it is scary. Full support, brother. 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388558-brother-christophers-other-projects/page/2/#findComment-6191647 Share on other sites
The Pounder
I think you’re being a bit harsh on yourself. I can sympathise that you are not happy with what you’ve done so far (I always go through this halfway through a project) At the end of the day, it’s your hobby and you can decide what you want from it! As I said previously you were being brave and ambitious and that’s to be applauded. Personally I thought it was going great. 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388558-brother-christophers-other-projects/page/2/#findComment-6191651 Share on other sites
