eezodyp
Hi everyone, My name is Iain, I first got into 40k around 3rd edition, but then kind of drifted away from it for quite a while. I've gotten back into the hobby in the past few years and I'm looking to start an Adepta Sororitas army or possibly an Imperial Agents army. I've just moved to Montreal, so if anyone here on the forum has any information on good gaming stores or groups in the city, I'd welcome it! Cheers, Iain 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388570-greetings-from-montreal/ Share on other sites

Griefbringer
Greetings / Bonjour! And welcome onboard. I am afraid I have never been to Montreal (or anywhere else in Quebec), so cannot say anything about the local scene. Though considering the amount of people living there, I would expect there to be a number of stores around the city. Admittedly, with stores quality tends to beat quantity. Lathe Biosas
Choosing between the two, the Sisters of Battle have the cooler units and one of the best looking armies on the tabletop when complete with some amazing centerpieces. The better news is that you can use Imperial Agents as allies if you like. A word of warning, the Triumph of Saint Katherine is not for the faint of heart. I don't recommend starting with that model. Dr_Ruminahui
Hello from the other end of Canada! And I look forward to seeing your sisters as they progress - sisters were my first army when I began in early 3rd (man, the rules for them were bad back then). Any thoughts on paint scheme? eezodyp
Thanks everyone for the welcoming messages! I've found a couple of games stores here that I'll probably reach out the in the coming weeks. I've made a start on my first box of sisters, going for purple armor with white robes and gold trim. Similar to heresy era Emperor's Children. That said, I just received the blood Bowl third season box for my birthday a couple of days ago, so I think that's going to be taking up a lot of my painting bandwidth for the coming months! 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388570-greetings-from-montreal/#findComment-6189357 Share on other sites
Brother Lutheriel
Welcome!! Hope your gold trim goes well and isn’t too much of a pain! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388570-greetings-from-montreal/#findComment-6189383 Share on other sites
Tawnis
Welcome to B&C, sounds like your story is pretty similar to my own, though from the opposite end of Canada. Outside of any discount boxes, I'd recommend starting with some Sisters of Battle and an Immolator since they can be used in both the Sisters army and the Agents army, so you've got value regardless of which you decide.
