What are you hoping to see when the DA Codex supplement lands?

 

I want:

1. New Ezekiel model

2. To get the interrogator chaplain back

3. Some of the detachments we just lost back. (Especially for Chaplains). 
4. And if I’m shooting for the moon, a new “Risen” squad of some type. 
 

I’m expecting a Ravenwing range refresh, but those are the things I’m asking Asmodai for.

☆ I want the Nephilim Jetfighter to get better, because it is the coolest plane in the arsenal.

 

☆ I want more plasma weapons... like a new LR with plasma cannons galore!

 

☆ I want the Chaplain Dreadnought to return.

 

☆ I want a lore section about how awesome the Dark Angels compared to the Divergent Chapters like Space Wolves or Ultramarines. 

 

☆ I want a Deathwing Lieutenant with Combi-weapon.

 

☆ I want the Lion to have the Deathwing KEYWORD.

I don't want Cypher in the Dark Angels.  I want him to take his next step and get his lore updated with the return of the Lion, but I don't want it ended.

 

I want the Lion and Guilliman (And probably Dante) to meet and update their lore - though probably not in the codex.

 

I don't necessarily want the Talonmaster speeder back but some sort of mounted Lieutenant beyond the Ravenwing Black Knights.  And Terminator Lieutenants - though I want those for everyone not just DA.

 

I don't know about a Land Raider but a Gladiator that has the Macro Plasma in the turret and Plasma Incinerator Sponsons ala Hurricane/Tempest Bolters would be cool.

 

I DEFINITELY want the Lion to get DEATHWING keyword.  Maybe even Ravenwing. 

 

In fact I WANT all or almost all the Wings to come back and for the Lion to have them all.  Plus his Chapter Watcher dudes that chronicled what he did for chapter dissemination.

Given that there's some pre-established lore for this, I wish that Unforgiven lieutenants were called "voted lieutenants."  (While I know in 30K this was supposed to indicate the singular master of a wing, I didn't really like that, especially given that the Dark Angels weren't always in one spot and might need the expertise of a particular wing in multiple areas.  That and using the bottom officer rank for the singular head for all the resources of one group.)  These "voted lieutenants" would be Deathwing (or Ravenwing Black Knight) inductees who have been tapped for an apprentice leadership role.  That's essentially the same thing a lieutenant already is, but calling them "voted lieutenants" would fit more into the established lore of the Dark Angels. 

Given that jetbikes are no longer a uniquely DA thing, maybe have an option for Ravenwing Lieutenants on jetbikes?

Updating Cypher to return the Lion Sword (presuming that's his objective) would be a logical progression of events, though that would also invalidate every existing Cypher model.  It would be good to see some progress with that character though, perhaps with updated rules for fielding the Fallen using Chaos Marine rules.  That's a different codex, though.

I don't think going to a new Cypher model is a deterrent to GW, but I do think that's too much of a change.  When GW makes changes to the world its a change that doesn't change anything.  Two Loyalist Primarchs and four Chaos Primarchs have returned, but Earth still stands and will continue to do so even though Angron and Fulgrim could lock down Lion and Robute while Magnus and Morty stomp the rest of the world.  But that won't happen as it would actually resolve some things with relatively permanent changes.  The most likely update to Cypher would retain his Is He/Isn't He a good guy theme - he may or may not return the Lion Sword (probably not because the Lion has Fealty now) - he may or may not bring some as-yet Unrisen to the Lion though he would (probably) not Rise himself and still show up from time to time leading Fully Fallen on some backwater for some obscure purpose.
