Sete
Hello! I have a question about Primaris Sucessors and Inner Circle information. Im not versed on how the new Primaris Sucessor Chapters work within the Unforgiven. Are they given the information about the Fallen? (Now Risen some of them?) How does it work for an Ultima Foundomg Chapter? Are they brought into the fold, given information? Are they seen with suspicion and kept at arms lenght? Probably both, especially for the Ultima Founding Successors. Probably few get told about the Fallen, but more will be told about the Risen just not what they rose FROM. RazorDaemon
Not trying to hijack the post, but it felt more appropriate instead of creating a new topic since my question is also about Primaris DA Successors. I've searching for lore regarding organization/Wings but there isn't much concrete, other than it isn't common to do the same scheme. Would it be frowned upon, or too unusual, to modify/add Wings? For example a different ______Wing name for Veteran Company other than Deathwing, or adding new Wings that re-use former names like Stormwing for Bikes/Jump Packs/Speeders? To add to the original question, I did find the Ultima Founding "The Unnamed" decided not to take a name or homeworld when the senior elements of the Chapter learned of the Dark Angels' secrets (9th Ed DA Codex), and the Knights of Redemption is mentioned in White Dwarf 483 as being new and small so Captains often "interrogate" the Fallen instead of Chaplains (meaning they know), so Primaris Chapters must know. Interesting note, the Prime Absolvers' Master, Dagiel Harn, decided his Chapter shouldn't be burdened with the guilt/responsibility, they hunt all Traitors/Xenos/Mutants/Witches/Heretics with equal tenacity (also 9th Ed DA Codex). Dude, not only does that sound super awesome, but they are your models and it’s your lore. Just remember to post all your good ideas and pictures so I can be jealous I didn’t come up with it first. @Sete from what I’ve read in the HH books and codexes they leave a lot of this up to your imagination. One cool part about the Dark Angels is all the secrets. Secret orders, rituals, initiations, and who knows what else. So certainly some of those secrets in various forms have been passed down. Some of the meanings of what’s been passed down have been lost to time and tradition… Makes me want to put on a cloak and interrogate the Fallen myself. So yeah, it’s probably up to you how much you want to imagine a given chapter knows. Grotsmasha
I'd have to dig to get a quote/source, but my understanding is some successors have the Veteran 1st and Mounted 2nd Co. structure, some don't and follow a more Codex aligns co. structure. Some are variation of "Wings" (Redwing is stuck in my head for some reason), some are named but not Wings, and some are just numbered. For my DIY, the Heralds of Devastation, the 1st Co. is named The Hunters, and combine the traditional roles of the DA Wings. The Anvil Squads (TDA/ Vets), and The Hammer Squads (mounted Units). 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388657-primaris-sucessors-and-the-inner-circle/#findComment-6191360 Share on other sites
