Knights Exultant First Draft

Knights Exultant are a chapter on the brink of extinction. Not because of destruction at the hands of the xeno, mutant or heretic, not because some great catastrophe befell the chapter, but because of a clerical error.

The Greyshields that form the chapter were meant as reinforcement for the crusading Black Templars , but instead found themselves on the Korunos Sector. 
Around 100 battle brothers along with Mechanicus support arrived at a planet scarred by civil war. The planetary governor had turned against the God Emperor’s Light, 
Led by the Crimson Lady, the armies of the faithful destroyed the traitors and seized control of the capital.
The Space Marines were received with jubilation, a certain sign of the God Emperor's favour.

The Crimson Lady.
Alma. The Emperor's Vengeance. A being of apparent prodigious power. Worshipped by the populace as a Living Saint, and the new de facto leader of Alvor, she ceded the control of the planet to the newly arrived Space Marines. 
These Black Templar aspirants interpreted this twist of fate as the Will of the Emperor made manifest. The most senior member of the group was elevated to chapter master, and baptised the chapter as Knights Exultant.

A chapter keep was dropped from orbit into an island 600 miles from the Capital to serve as a base of operations. 
The chapter fleet, composed of a Strike Cruiser and 3 Escorts were refitted to accommodate a larger number of Space Marine elements.

2 outposts were constructed, one of the Capital city and one on the southern hemisphere to serve as a recruitment grounds for the Chapter. 

 

They received the fief of Alvor, a frontier world home of 24 million human souls.

Alvor has a single continent with a single sprawling metropolis, serving as planetary capital, and several thousand archipelagos dotting the planetary landscape.

Undermanned and underequipped, they were charged with the protection of the sector from the rampages of xenos and pirates.

The planet now stands at a nexus of becalmed warp currents, making it an important strategic point of extreme value for the Imperium.

 

 

This is my first draft of a new DiY, for a campaign im gonna play with friend.

 

Any opinions insights and suggestions will be apreciated. 

 

Borrowed the Tabletop tactics BT  image and edited the colours around for the prefere scheme. 

 

Will be using a bit of BT bling.
