Your Inspirations & Stepping off the Page

What are your creative inspirations? and/or... what do you do to recharge when you hit a block? How do you "step off the page"?

 

For myself, to just give a high-level inspiration comes from Folktales, Mythology, Theology, Sci-Fi, Early Modern Fantasy, Historiography. 

But also '80s Action-Adventure or Post-apocalyptic TV and film.

 

To discharge/recharge I am lucky to be surrounded by nature. Though in a former day it would have been video games (RPG, RTS, Strategy), and even prior to that early (P&P) Dungeons & Dragons. I always had an eye on Warhammer though ending up with a bit of Old Hammer minis, but didn't truly dive in until much later. Trying to understand 40k became the discharge from work. Now I feel like I want to invest time shaping it into something.
