Existential TError
Undivided is a song written from the perspective of two characters. One was a loyal servant to the nobility, fulfilling their every need, solving their problems, and keeping their secrets. Finally, his master thought that he knew too much and decided to turn him into a servitor, but clearly underestimated the power of secrets known to his servant. Soon, amidst the chaos outbreak the former master was sacrificed for the glory of new ones - those who elevated the former servant to master of his own destiny and taught him things that he could not even imagine before. Second was a space marine, abandoned by his brothers in the name of the mission he did not care for. In his desperate last stand, bitterness, despair, pain and rage mixed together in such a wonderful cocktail that it attracted the gaze from beyond the veil that offered a salvation and opportunity for vengeance. Please note that both performers have certain biases towards the empire, and some might consider that even listening to this song is highly heretical and is an automatic ticket for a date with the lord inquisitor in his private dungeon. Proceed at your own risk. Some additional fun facts: - Originally I wanted to write a separate verse for each of the gods. But in the middle of the process, I realized that the song is turning out to be so long that it could scare people away, so I had to cut my ambition and cram everyone into a single verse >_< - Lyrics were entirely rewritten several times. First lines that I wrote for this song were: Empire rotten to the bone They worship corpse on golden throne But it never made into final song, just as most of the initial lyrics. - The music after the outro is supposed to represent warp from the inside. Curious to hear your thoughts about it - does it achieve the goal? - This song is the only one of mine that is not on streaming because it seems like GW do not even bother reading emails offering cooperation. But it's also a good news since anyone who wants can use it for music videos or whatever else) - I kinda wanted to call it Chaos Undivided, but i already have a song called Chaos Engine, so i didn't want to confuse people with similar names. 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/388770-undivided-a-chaos-hymn/ Share on other sites
