He was accepted into the high lords, and was right were he needed to be he atacked many imperial gaurd bases and sloly destroyed the planets and then he was allmighty they eventualy found him out and sent him away, on his way to his ship he culled many loyalist marines and flew away.......... to wreck havoc al through the commen simple minds of the Emperor!! so wat do u think? is it ^_^ enough or is it really ;) no mater what please tell me your thoughts> ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/76209-tragic-betrail-story/ Share on other sites

Infrared
Ok, your story is that the Chapter master was betrayed and murdered by his second in command, who turned the Chapter to Chaos and than infiltrated the High Lords (?)... (I didnt get that last part) Maybe it feels a bit (just a bit) similar to the whole Horus/Emperor story, but what hasn Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/76209-tragic-betrail-story/#findComment-876117 Share on other sites

Ferrata
What do you mean accepted into the high lords? Do you mean became a high lord? If so, this is a bit of a high profile job so we probably would have heard of him. Sleepwalker
Okay, lets work with this... To turn a marine traitor is quite a task. To turn a chapter traitor is even harder. For the second in command to take control of the chapter will take more than just killing the chapter master- he would need to have the support of all of his fellow marines. Perhaps he starts to spread rumours about the chapter master, that he is really a follower of the chaos gods, and turns the chapter against him. Then he slowly corrupts the marines around him. The Inquisition (and thereby the High Lords) are told of the chapter master's treachery and inspect the chapter for further taint but find none... their decent into chaos is not nearly pronounced enough. To all intents and purposes they act normally for a next few decades, whilst inside their minds and souls are slowly corrupted. They are able to prey on unsuspecting human civilisations whilst claiming that they the men they are killing are traitors. Only the new chapter master knows the truth, his men and the inquisition cannot see it. It is when they start to change physically, or perhaps the inquisition starts to suspect something, that they finally turn to chaos. their minds, now fully corrupted, show them for what they really are, looters, pillagers, murderers. They are not defenders of humanity, they only live to see its downfall. The High Lords, taken in by their treachery, order an exterminatus upon them but they fly away on their battle barges into the eye of terror. Now you just need to decide what turned the second in command, and how he persuaded the others to follow him. Perhaps the whispering call of Tzeentch- he is a sneaky devil that Changer of Ways. Then just sort out some names for you chapter pre and post change. There you go, lots of stuff to think about. Oh, and for extra reference, check out Mr Aurelius Rex's thread on Renegade DIY chapters- it might help you along in the right direction: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/forums/...26entry766326 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/76209-tragic-betrail-story/#findComment-876801 Share on other sites
