karial
i have an idea on this, but whether it will work or not i dont know... paint them white, then hardcoat em.... use a new wash, hardcoard it that'll (maybe) give the effect of pearl? the idea behind my theory is you're putting a wash onto an already slipery surface, which will (hopefully) result in an uneven, very thin layer of tinting, then a shiny coat again over the top sorry if this post is on page number "months old", but i'm crawling the lot to see if theres anything useful for me ^_^
tedwin183
You could get a nice marble/pearl looking finish: Prime white, take some of the mid tone blues, reds and orange and paint little swirls sporadically on the model. Then, go back over it again with a watered down layer of white. The swirled colors underneath will show through but will not be as intense as they would be sitting on the surface. Chaplain Kharn
well i would spray it white and mix leviathan purple in very smal doses at a time and layer it adding more pink or purple to the mix as you get near the center and a thin coat of water effect to finish you could try that
