Kurgan the Lurker
I'll agree that it doesn't fit in with the "Marine look" all that much. However it does look a bit like the old Robot Maniples that certain Chapters (Red Scorpions for one) used to have back in RT Days. What a nightmare that was to game with though. Ravenwing Phil
I was kind of going for that look, (the old robots etc) as in the fluff for it, it is marines from my army which discover a Dark age base with these combat suits in. They then use the suits to fight of a hord of necrons and escape. They still use the suits as a mark of honour. Therfore if i styled like marines now it would be odd as dark age tech was much sleeker and more like the ancient robots as mentioned. I felt by using the cyborg in this way and adding armour and gs etc it would give a good impresion of what I imagined Dark age tech combat suits would look like. I hope this helps explain why it is so radicaly different from normal marine looks i.e. gothic / techno barbaric. I am personaly quite happy with the look though I think it could be improved with some work on the arms and the cyborgs head. Other sugestions are more than welcome. Ravenwing Phil
Holy thread Necromancy! I'm sorry this is so long in coming but I have had many other things going on and this project got shelved. It is now finished more or less however and I thought people might want to see how it turned out. The only thing I have left to do is do the highlighting on the armour. Anyhow here are the Pics: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e332/Raven_wing/Cyborg1.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e332/Raven_wing/Cyborg3.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e332/Raven_wing/Cyborg2.jpg See my Photobucket for WIP shots, any C&C or questions more than welcome. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e332/Raven_wing/Cyborg/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87012-marine-dread-cyborg/page/2/#findComment-1167431 Share on other sites
