Loot counters, need some idears for my Iron Warriors

Hi everone

 

I will be attending the UK GT heat 1 later this year (Oct 14/15) & one my fear have come true... ref will pick mission instead of past few years where we rolled & in both 2004 & 2005 (& inclused the Scottish Conflict). I have only played the mission ONCE in a event... or three. Just I do not like the mission :) but I have to fight it maybe Once.

 

Any way, so I need to make some very cool loot marker. I want nothing to do with Forge World gear... this is mainly due to lack of money.

 

Idears where to have:

flag/banner of a Space Marine chapter with a chaos star painted over it or somthing.

Wounder Iron Warriors

Fule cans with IW standing over them.

Dead Space Marine???

 

Basicly the need to be able to stick with 25mm & 40mm base (normal Marines & Oblit size base).

 

Thanks for the help & any photos of loot counter (any army this can be from) are welcome

Wounded Iron Warriors? No way.

 

Off the top of my head.

-Dead Imperial Fist medic? Some nice Geneseed to steal there(and hand over to fabius bile for reprosessing) :)

-AMMO!!!

-use a spacemarine and a pedestal of some form, paint it grey, and you have small statue ready for defilement

-hatch that leads underground

-tech equipment

-A box filled with 3 years subscription worth of "Trenchwarfare plus" mag. :)

I do have TONS of Medic part I never use... this is a good idear... however with Imperial Fist... down side is I never painted yellow like them... but there alway Black Templars :P & add much insult the the son's of Dorn (that right Obliterator mod of this part :) )

Don't forget about Sand castle :)

 

Ohh & that remind me I forgot to say this is for Iron Warriors army to everone else seeing this topic.

Pile of shovles, pick-axes, and other entrenching tools up against some sand bags

A really big hammer ala Perturabo

If not an IF marine, how about an IF standard or banner pole

Pile of bionic bits, the arms from Necromunda pit slaves comes to mind

Dead Iron Hands marine, hmmmm bionics for the picking

A sapper tunnel entrance

Humm.. I have just finish a Guard army & do have tools.... & it remind me of the Sharpe show when the fought a seige as well. This could work great on the 25mm base. Thanks

Well I just made a Templar mdeic as Chronophague suggest & he came out alright :lol: Thanks for the idear.

 

One idear I just had is to have a Iron Warriors "scout", by this I mean just a guy who Inflty since my full army Inflty. But have a few stuff.. not sure, like he tracking down somthing & if have him kneeling down???

 

So that would mean 3 loot counter down & two more to go.

What models would you suggest??? there be some zombie parts... but what kind of part would work great???

 

So right now I got a dead Black Templar medic, tools all bundle up & one I got a round idear on the Slaves I can use that for my reminding 3 loot counter :lol: Maybe have a Slave as a run away one or somthing like that... make him Tech priest so it would show why IWs would run after him etc..

 

Thanks & keep them coming. As for photos, they will need to wait until Oct 14/15th when the GT event is & I plan take tons of photos.

Some GS and fine modeller/jeweller chain added to a mini would suffice for denoting slave status. As for the actual slave model, I'm not sure. I'm one of those converters who prefers cheap builds, but I'm not above using metal figures for something of limited value/use. :wub:

I like the 'bionic bits' idea, but the best I can think of, fluff-wise, is just crates of Imperial ammo or munitions waiting to be captured. The Battle Accessories set might be good, with the drop crate thingies and oil barrels. Extra bolters, missle launchers, etc. might be good too.

Hmm, yes, slave Imperial Fist, not a bad idea... ;) Maybe with only his pants and chest armor left on... Would look even better if the armor ended at the knees. :wub: Or perhaps even just the codpiece. -_- I knew I was missing somehting from my Iron Warrior army, with a few suitably tortured and humiliated Imperial Fists things should be even better. ;)

True KB that I could do a crusifed Space Marine of your chapter since they fight almost twince a week..

 

I am thinkiing instead of slave... maybe take Rebal Guards, a person said to me to have them digging like parts of tanks etc... also mean Chaos Guards which are alway cool.

Who cares about lost? Just because there's a hatch in that dumb series, doesn't mean there aren't battlefield access tunnels and whatnot. Yeah, the only way I can come to think of a hatch is because of lost, I mean, it's the ONLY place I've ever heard of a hatch that leads underground... ^_^

He's right, no WHOLE IFs :o

 

Clip the lower legs off of a marine, just under the knees. Paint them in smugged IF yellow, with scorch marks on the tops. Glue them to a base normally, if any one asks, tell them an IF just took a melta gun shot to the chest. :blink:
