Inquisitor Justice Liturgicus

Someone posted a link a ways back to one PaleLonginus' art Slay the Wurm and it got me thinking that all the GW witch-hunter inquisitor model would need to look cool is a haircut. So I set about a project of reclaiming the model. Here are my results:

All right! Bald chicks!

I dig that color scheme, it looks great, and it only enhances the great effect you've got with Sinead o'Connor in PA.

Sorry about the lousy jokes, but I guess I'm just a bad person really  ...

Converting wise, very well done

Out of curiousity, how hard was to to remove all the back kibble? Ive been wanting to use the model in my own army (since its a great model) but being an actual =][= model, it comes with alot of junk at the back of the model which has been one reason why i havent bought it as i dont know 1. how difficult it will be to remove everything unwanted and 2. how difficult the restoration GS work would be.

However, the Blue and Purple is wonderful, can you make a run down of the colours used in that purple shade?

Yep. As a matter of fact, I can.

1. Base with Liche Purple

2. Paint the middle of the blade with a thinner band of Warlock Purple

3. Paint a really thin band of Tentacle Pink on the highest point

4. Water down Liche Purple and paint over the whole thing

5. Paint a really really thin centerline with Tentacle Pink using the side of the brush and touching it to the highest point of the blade.

Wasn't actually too bad. I had the biggest problems with the cloth just below the collar-- you might notice it's a little jaggy in there. I attacked her bouffant with the clippers and then filed her head for a long time until I felt it looked round enough (at one point she distinctly resembled a conehead :P ). The braids were easy to just clipper off the back of the collar. The remaining hair that I couldn't extricate from inside the collar, I just painted like wires (although poorly, I might point out-- They could have been handled a lot better than I did).

The only real problem for the green stuff was that the back of her head butted right up against the collar top and they sorta melded together. So I took a really small roll of green stuff and raised the back of her collar a bit in the center (tried to blend it down in the front so I wouldn't have to worry sculpting a taller front of the collar).

Hmm. Above appears to be the one angle I didn't shoot it from. :/ I was shooting a lot of miniuatures at once and it appears I skipped a lot of angles for the stuff I shot. I did, however, scrounge up a better pic of the collar, tho...

I'll try and get an above shot and post it when I get the chance.
