first scout model

Easiest way* is to open the image up in MSPaint, draw a box around the model, press ctrl-C (copy), press ctrl-N (new), press ctrl-V (paste).

 

This way you will have a smaller image by the simple expedient of cropping out the background, but your haven't lost any detail by actually shrinking it.

 

If the image is still too big then MSPaint has a shrink function (Image -> Stretch/Skew) however this works in % rather than pixels, so its all a bit of guess-timation.

 

 

* - Easiest in that nearly every computer has MSPaint by default
