Wash with chaos black + tank brown(VMC) Wash with chaos black+tankbrown(VMC)+dark angels green Wash with Chaos black + just a little tankbrown, the mix should be almost black. Then I paint scratches, pockmarks etc. with mithril silver. wow they look really good just like the rest of your stuff, i really like the Chevrons, can you tell me how you did the? Fiery orange base color on the chevrons. Then I mix in white to the fiery orange for a successive highlight Then I mixed in sunburst yellow for another highlight. And finally I used sunbrst yellow +white for final highlights. The army is progressing really well. Even if you used my least favorite chaos head, LOL. I think it looks pretty good on a chaos marine, depending on how you paint it. The guy I made looks like he's been in warp for quite some time, and has had the ill fortune of having something less than nice happen to his face. If I had to force a critique out (I'm realy forcing it)I'd say teh flesh tones don'T stand out from teh rest of teh mini. But that can also be the effect wanted wink.gif Yeah, I noticed it as well, my initial idea was to just make "pale" skin, with a purplish undertone. I really like the skin, but it sinks a bit more into the marine than I meant it to. But I'm happy with the result anyway. There's a few heads on the first 2 squads I need to update, since they have completely different skin.
