I appologize for my incompetance. Maybe my large amount of sleep deprivation had something to do with that. But yes, that is most definately the bull pup style, and I'm still most greatful for your want to do this project. We BnCers LOVE it when people do things like this

BR Librarian

ON doing the shoulder pad you want to start by doing the internal bird shape first than doing the wing structure, than adding the feathers in strokes and filling it in

So this offically sucks, In real life it looks a lot better. However I'm guessing you all want to see the first marine. He's not quite dune Still a few things, e.g. Base and the B'n'C shoulder pad. Not quite sure what color to paint the trim on it tho. O and I need to frill the bolter.

Not bad man I like it. its pretty good compared to some I have seen out there. and sure its not as good as the master painters out there as well but its still nice.

most of what needs to be worked on I think you have stated, the only thing I could say from what I see there is add a few more highlights to him. try to take into account where the light is coming from to give you an idea.

From the look of that pose you could either have the highlights strong in the front to show the light effect coming from the gun and darken as you go back, or reverse that to make it look like the light is behind him like someone is looking upto him in the sun or something and his taking aim and about to blow ther ehead off or something.

Heraldry and Color Scheme

The battle-brothers who formed the initial core of the Legio agreed to the original heraldry, taking black as their main color as a sign of their devotion to the Emperor. The black and white checkerboard pattern worn upon the right greave was derived from the army badge worn by the Chapters that participated in the assault on the Imperial Palace that ended the rule of Goge Vandire. An alternative to the black and white checkerboard pattern was the crossed bolter and chainsword device upon the right greave. The use of bone white chest designs and left shoulder pads was symbolic of their lifelong devotion to the Legio, as well as their mortality. The original badge of the Legio incorporated a skull, similar to the device used by the Chaplains of the various Chapters. Each battle-brother retained the badge of his parent Chapter upon his right shoulder pad, a reminder of the diversity within the Legio and the might of the Adeptus Astartes. Most of the battle-brothers assigned to the Legio were Sergeants or Veteran Sergeants, and the Codex Astartes red helmet for Sergeants was adopted for all members of the Legio.

With the changes wrought in the wake of the Schism, the Legio changed its heraldry. Retaining the black armour, red helmet, and Chapter badges upon the respective shoulder pads, the bone white for the chest design was replaced with pure white and the field of the left shoulder pad was changed from bone white to red. Additionally, the color of the battle-brother

Yup, he's looking good!! the green is looking mint (ha ha, no pun intended......really, I mean it), but you could definately work on the black and red. It could be the pics, and I can tell that you put highlights on them (which is a very good thing), but you need to add some more layers, especially the black. But he's still looking good.
