In the 42st Millenium, SIZE MATTERS! mwahahahah

When the hell was there a 42st Millenium?

wouldnt that be the 41st?? or 42nd?? AHH curse games workshop, they defy logic with time parallels!

back on topic, awesome work doghouse, I'd like to attempt it, but i can green stuff to save my life

  • 2 weeks later...

iv'e just about finished asembling mine - 10 chosen and 2 aspiring champions :)

whats even better is that i now have 10 power armor legs fleft over - if i buy 10 asault marines now, il have 10 raptors and 10 chaos warriors - cause the assault marines box comes with extra torso's yaaay! now i need to dig out those bolter arms *ponders*

sorry i took a while, ive been busy working & doing pre-heresy jetbikes =P

should get a lick of paint on my Doghousii - pattern dudes soon :)

Great work as allways, Doghouse : keep it up! the Emperor needs your inhuman skills!

Cheers you guys,

<<BrotherDamascus>>

Hey all! :(

I'm hoping that this won't come across as too melodramatic but I wanted to say a few words before fading away into obscurity for good.

I've decided that after over twenty years in the Emperor's service supporting the both the Chapters and the Legions of the Astartes that it's time to return my power armour to the chapter's Techmarines, hang up my bolter and chainsword and finally call it a day.

It's been great fun and a genuine pleasure chatting with the countless numbers of gamers and fellow convertaholics from all over the world over the years that have posted in my threads, Pmed me for help or emailed me just to say hi.

The B&C has always been a fantastic crowd and a fantastic site, infact the first site I ever posted on back in the Ezboard days with my beret wearing White Scorpion marines (the only army I haven't given away to numerous friend's kids for nostalgic reasons).

I won't go into reasons as to why I'm giving up wargaming but it's nothing negative or melodramatic, I feel that after twenty two years it's just time to call it a day. :)

I wish you all the best of luck for the future and keep posting your gothic marines in this thread to keep one of my contributions to the hobby alive. ;)

I'm handing over the reigns of my Warhammer 30,000 site to my good mate Kev, a seasoned vet like myself who has more time to spend updating than I currently do.

Best Wishes and thanks again guys, it's been a blast!

Steve

:P

I feel sad to read you're leaving the hobby Doghouse... Your minis were brilliant.

I'll miss them.

We all will miss your skills and creativity too.

Anyway... Godspeed !

(and if you miss WH40k, you'll be more than welcome back ! ;) )

:) fred

The parts you are looking at above are for the Warmaster Specialist game, which means they will about 4/10 of an inch tall. The ones you want are regular Warhammer Fantasy Battles Chaos Warriors (the full-featured ones, not the 3-man snapfit ones they also seem to be offering in the UK that I dont think we get in the US). Here's the link:

And allow me to join everyone else in wishing Doghouse vaya con Dios. Your stuff has been an inspiration to tons of gamers - see the length and longevity of this topic for proof of that! Have fun in whatever you do!

G'by Doghouse - Thou shalt be missed for years - Emperor smile upon you.

its typical that the day you post your resignation to the hobby that i finish my doghouse pattern marines - in honour of your great sacrifice, you shall be named after an Aspiring Champion =]

on a lighter note, i should be posting pictures soon

Goodbye, old friend,

Sheesh... Doghouse gone...

On the other hand, I can understand, Doghouse :P. Twenty years, all good fun and all... But I guess, in the end, we all grow out of it one time or another (although I'm sure for many it will be on their death beds...). You take care now, Doghouse :)

I thought I'd pop back to the B&C to see what's new and would just like to say thanks for all the kind words guys.

Seriously it's greatly appreciated. :jaw:

titan136: Great job on the GS work mate, really nice!

As this thread is about to reach the 40,000 views point I've decided that I will finish and post my step by step tutorial for the other truescale marines I created using terminator legs that I get asked for the most.

This doesn't mean that I'm back in the hobby though, it's a one off.
