Starks333 Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 curious as to why you kept the templar iconography? also i think the eagle needs a bit of depth, maybe some better painting on the bolters more consistent outlining, and some depth to the red right now the reds too bright when its on anythign but the small details(like the seals) so the example of where it looks too bright is the helmet, it would look fine if it had more depth and was a bit darker because of the depth the bases look nice so if anything the metals need some working, so they arent so out of the bottle plain looking they look good so far though Starks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Machinepriest Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 Some nice purple there. How ever, I think the red parts disrupt the harmony in the paint scheme. I would go for silver. I did not use the bone trim because I wanted a dark purple look with only small amounts of other colors. I used the crusader icons just becaused I like the look and it goes along with theme of carrying out a crusade of keeping their chapter beliefs and history alive and to prove they are still loyal to the emperor. Yes I have the decals but not using them until color scheme is settled on. I have a Sarpedon and Luko model inprogress right now but may be awhile until I have my core units done.
