Disassembly

Recommended Posts

Actually, I've run into this problem before. What you need is Plastruct plastic cement. This stuff comes in a glass bottle with a brush attached to the lid. It is VERY thin, designed to get into the space between two plastic sheets via capillary action. Apply a SMALL amount to where the parts meet, then give the glue 10-20 seconds to seep in and start acting on the plastic. Now GENTLY try twisting the parts apart. It's not perfect; this method doesn't work all the time, especially on flush-fitting parts with alot of contact area, but it's better than nothing. Hope this helps.

putting things in the fridge can work sometimes as it make the glueline fragile ...

thne you can sometimes snap it ...

but with most strong glues they melt and make the plastic go together in a bad way.

they fuse them, as said above ...

but you could try the fridge and see ... works sometimes, sometimes not =)
