Captain Loken and 10th company's 1st squad

Captain Loken

Recommended Posts

Greetings brothers, I thought I'd share some pics of my first finished Luna Wolves. I've posted a bunch of pictures of them in different stages of wip over at the Pre-Heresy Forums but I figured I ought to share them here as well.

Here is my Captain Loken,

and a size comp if anyone is interested, http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d180/sto...kenSizeComp.jpg

Here is Veteran Sgt. Jubal, (thankfully he decided to not bring his power fist to the whisperheads... )

And the rest of Hellebore Tactical squad (which I'm probably going to run as a Vet squad)

I'll post some more pics once the other squads are finished I've got another 40 Luna Wolves assembled and primed but my fantasy orcs have invaded my painting table...

Anyhow, comments and criticism welcome.

Nice job, Loken in particular looks very much like the captains on the cover of False Gods.

The painting in some areas looks a little rushed though (Jubal's backpack has a rather large area of the grey shading where it should be white.

Any WIP pics of them without paint on so we can see the parts used for heads etc?

Also, why did you decide to make Jubal and Hellebroe not Nero Vipus and his squad (since Jubal's part to play is rather short to say the least :D )?

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the force!

Cheers,

Dante

Great stuff :tu:

but i have to agree on why didn't you do nero vipus and his squad :D

....are you going to do the Vet jump pack Assault squad - cant remember their names.

must be hard to paint sooooo much white kudo's to you for the effort, well done.

They look good, but I have a question. Did you assemble them with the backpacks before painting? It looks like you did and then couldn't reach in to get an even coat of paint into the recesses. If that's the case, it's something you should consider changing for future squads.

Sorry I haven't responded back to any of you guys on this. My dad got in a motorcycle accident right after I posted this, so I've been a stay at home nurse since then, he's doing pretty good now, so tommorow I'll put up some more updates and pictures and answer questions.
