  1. Honestly, this thread made me go back and revisit an older army from ‘back in the day’ and see how it translates to 10th Ed. The army in question was my 4th / 5th Ed Dark Angels (4th Ed codex written with 5th in mind) and my base 1500 list. Quite simple, 15 models total: Belial, 2x Deathwing Squads (one with Apothecary and Deathwing Standard), 2x Venerable Dreadnoughts, Land Raider and Land Raider Crusader. For 10th Ed this isn’t a direct transfer because of the Apothecary and Standard (paid upgrades in 4th), but running the numbers in the 40K app this list comes in at 1175 without those upgrades. I can throw in a dedicated Ancient in Termi Armour and still have enough points for another squad or another Land Raider. That’s a solid 20-30% bigger over the editions.
  2. I’m having trouble with this one - there’s something about it that looks “off” to me, and I’m struggling to put my finger on it. o think it may be the implied length of the torso, which feels short. It could be the chest plate which feels overly cumbersome for the Raven Guard. Maybe it’s the paint scheme that made me immediately think of the Night Lords. Maybe some other 360 shots might make more sense, but at the moment it’s not a mini I’m liking.
  3. I’ve just been to my local Hobbycraft (Southampton) and they do indeed stock a VERY LIMITED selection of Warhammer products. I can’t see this being too popular TBH…
  4. I can’t wait to read another piece of ADB’s work. However, having managed to get all the other SoT novels in LE format (whilst avoiding giving scalpers a single penny), I had hoped I wouldn’t need to jump through those hoops again. Have they mentioned that this is the final book?
  5. Honestly - I think you're best getting the Deathwatch upgrade sprue from GW. The MkVII pads are the same size as the MkX, so fit the Infernus and Jump Intercessors. Judging by the Index GW released for Grotmas, they're also using the same MkVII / MkX pads for the Phobos armoured Marines. From what I can tell the old-school Terminator Pads on the sprue are a great match for Heavy Intercessors / Agressors / Eradicators. Ironically they're now too small for the newer Terminator kit.
  6. Looks like I’ll be heading to Nottingham in the New Year!
  7. Price, I would guess. plus a lot of people don’t like the big resin centre-pieces, so even if it’s a 1:1 conversion to plastic people will eat it up. Not taking anything away from the fantastic sculpt, it’s truly amazing, but can you imagine trying to transport that model???
  8. That happened last year. Keep an eye out, and you might see a few of them pop up. But £150 crosses the point for me where these are a "good buy" to add to an existing army. For starting a new force, and the contents happen to be what I'm wanting, then fine - but these aren't them.
  9. Wait So this is legit? So I'm going to have to battle the inhuman scalpers AGAIN in order to complete my LE run of SoT, which I thought was already complete and I didn't need to get involved with those nonsense ever again....
  10. Without throwing too much shade here, but anyone could literally come up with this. Daemon Primarch akin to Angron, Mortarion and Magnus Update to existing models to replace the resin / finecast (Lucius and Noise Marines) Non-Astartes cult unit comparable to Jackals, Poxwalkers and Tzaangors Terminator unit comparable to Scarab Occult, Blightlord and Eightbound* Other additional stuff, completely vague I think the only actual information here is that it's out in the next 18 months. Everything else follows a fairly standard template to the other Legions. *I know technically Eightbound aren't Terminator units, but they're pretty darn close if you ask me.
  11. p59 in the Codex Supplement, under Army Rules at the bottom of the page, there is a list of units from the full Space Marine codex that are given the 'Deathwing' keyword if they are formed as part of a Dark Angels chapter. Included within this are all units with the 'Terminator' keyword, including the Terminator Ancient and terminator Assault Squads. Hope this helps.
  12. Honestly, the Boarding Actions terrain set more-or-less fills the gap for Space Hulk-esque terrain. It's got plenty of configuration, you can do long corridors or large open rooms - it's pretty much all you need. After that, it's just rules. Fundamentally though, the key will always be price point - as Boarding Actions isn't on the cheap side.
  13. I went to my local store today - they had 150 on Saturday morning, 48 hours later they had only 6 remaining...
  14. They're scaled like the new Deathwing Knights.
  15. Yeah, not an April Fool. I was told last week that this was happening, they already had their stock in.
