Captain Juan Juarez's Achievements

  1. I'm not dead, just absent.
  2. Although I pass this way infrequently.. Well, more accurately never.. It's good to see so many familiar faces still hammering away in the depths when I do venture by.
  3. ....I came to the board for the first time in over a year.
  4. Still nothing.. But I have taken to looking occasionally at the three IG squad boxes I have and will never use, possibly out of a sense of guilt but most like a case of "how can I get rid of the clutter".
  5. Today.. I did nothing related to the hobby, as in the preceding many days.
  6. In fact, given the production capacity of a Forgeworld I cannot see even a Chapter of Space marines taking it alone - it would need serious firepower and logistical capacity.
  7. Are you guys still planning on including some interference from Vandire (although not personally, one assumes)? Because if you are.. I have an idea.
  8. Awww....I was shooting from Troy Landry and his bunch from "Swamp People". "CHOOT'EM, DEVASTATUH SQUAD!" I just imagined Gambit's Thief kin from the old X-Men cartoon of the 90s - good ol' Cajun boys.
  9. Now that is true love.
  10. RE: Stormtroopers (now Militarium tempestus Scions) I'd say the average, if such a thing is possible with the variety in the Guard, regiment size for Infantry is probably around the 1000-1500 mark for combat personnel only. The regiment as a whole would be larger when taking in to account headquarters troops and other logistical and support elements but I'd feel safe with that 1k-1.5k figure. A Stormtrooper regiment would be of comparable size but, as has been seen in numerous works of fiction, they will almost never function on the battlefield as a single company, let alone a regiment, and instead are attached piecemeal to other forces and armies that need their abilities and experience. The notable exeption to this are probably the Cadian Kasrkin (who again have appear to have been replaced) who could be expected to fight in Company level formations quite easily.
  11. Heathens, I am now genuinely in awe of you - I will send you my first born son as sacrifice if i can ever convince another woman to sleep with me. I volunteer my services to write about some of the Lions if anyone feels that might be required - there is an awesome framework there to work from.
  12. Except that is only used to demonstrate how few Space Marines there are. If the Cluster has something seen as vital to the Imperium then I can see a multitude of Chapters participating - don't forget that not only will each have its own agenda or motives but the choice to participate is also their own.
  13. I approve of your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. The thing to look at is the long-term strategic goals: We know about the Imperium - they want what they see as theirs and if they can't have it they deny it to another - but what do the Lions really want? An empire or something more mysterious. They have to have goals or otherwise they are just the fantastical Big Bad.
  14. PURGE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE AND THEN SOME MORE PREJUDICE FOR GOOD MEASURE. Now I know we all, from time to time, trot out that line about it being "your" hobby - or whoever - and people should do what they want to but no. Just no. With a capital "I'll burn you at the stake".
  15. But can you eat it?
