  1. Daemons of Khorne are very exciting. I like the skull altar, especially the fact it can infiltrate. That 6” shadow bubble means there’s a large base of potential 5-6” charges (depends on if the unit can take an instrument), even if you struggle controlling objectives in no man’s land.
  2. The only interest here for me is Karamazov. Cool model, with the potential to make Black Templars Ld 4+ with the right vow. :D The price is absolutely bananas, even by GW standards. For an old sculpt in resin? No, GW. No.
  3. It’s not that every entry is “too much,” and for sure the relative cost of other armies matters a lot, but just within the index itself, there are some head-scratchers. Lord of Skulls though, looks like he’s on the menu. ;) I’m not doom and gloom about it, but with reports of points going down relative to 9th, this list would indicate that is largely not the case. Maybe free upgrades will factor in for some units, but for others not so much.
  4. These points having been making the rounds, we’ll see about them tomorrow, I guess. If true, there’s a lot of disappointment for what would have otherwise been a ton of excitement. I like the index, it has some fun and strong options inside… but these points would kill a lot of my hype.
  5. Nothing stopping ya! :) The swap for grav tanks is due to special snowflake multimelta option.
  6. Judiciar also looks like the only source of fights first in the entire army, though I skipped all firstborn data sheets so perhaps there’s something amongst those.
  7. I like this; too bad the unit size has been reduced to 2, however. Still, that rule will come in handy against many targets.
  8. Wowsers. After having some time to digest, this is a pretty sweet army list. Certainly some head scratchers and things I’d rather they didn’t change, but so be it, the good outweighs the bad for me by a wide margin. OH THOSE POOR VANGUARD VETS! Done so dirty. Glad I never got around to building any, though I suppose I’d still consider it if there isn’t going to be a tacticus remake. I really hope the contemptors stick around and don’t end up as legends. Loving gravis. Loving gladiators, at least the lancer and reaper. Loving a lot of things. I hope the supplement-having chapters are able to have characters join the appropriate units.
  9. Even sooner: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/uVN1M55L0U3dQeWZ.pdf
  10. These datasheets look really cool to me. I hope my own armies leave me feeling as excited after reading through them.
  11. To begin with, I don’t think I’d ever rely on the GW store website to be a reliable source. They clearly didn’t get it right, it’s a work in progress, etc. And hopefully I’m not saying what you already know, but the only minimum requirement is one character. The rest of the list is totally up to you, of course then beholden to the rule of 3 or 6 for battleline. Edit: Wow a ton of replies that weren’t there suddenly appeared so I’m a bit late with my reply somehow. :P
  12. I wonder if there will still be wargear restrictions based on the various captain models, e.g. no giving both a power fist and relic shield, has to be sword and relic shield as per the indomitus captain model.
  13. Well that’s lame, sorry godfather. :( Hopefully this is not a portent of things to come.
  14. According to the new functionality on the GW website where you can filter by rules keywords, both lord Invocatus and eightbound will have the scout rule. Make of that what you will, it is far from an official rules source but this is extra interesting because these two units are the only ones in the entire chaos section to have scout. No chaos units innately have infiltrate, either. Exalted eightbound have deep strike (plus angron and terminators, which we knew).
