  1. Alright, I'm gonna say it. I'm pressing X to Doubt on this one. On the Doctrines, which sound way too organized for what Chaos is supposed to be, on the traits which seem a bit too good to be true, the expanded Cultist stuff which is just wish fufillment, and most specifically on the lack of Jump Lords. Don't get me wrong, I can see the viewpoint. But the Jump Lord has only been cycled out recently, and they've flat out said that it's a model that's coming back. That, and wings are such an iconic mutation for our lords, and they choose NOW to limit it? When they could've done so easily by just slapping the Jump Lord with a "Use in Legends" sticker? Now, if there's some truth to at least some of these? I'll be happy. But the lord stuff especially has me... suspicious. Not even getting into Harkann
  2. What about a World Eater one, using the Red Butcher strat?

  4. Here's my latest completion, an Exalted Sorceror/Daemon Prince, depending on game.
  5. While a bit late to chime on this: Keep the Axe after you take it off. That's a REALLY good axe, my juggerlord uses it.
  6. So, I finally settled on the model: Lord Executor, with a headswap and possibly a weapon headswap... now I just need to consider chapter. So far I'm considering Howling Griffon but... it's mostly a side consideration.
  7. Not on my online store by himself.
  8. Engineseer isn't, but the Coldstar IS. Also, an update. Because I feel like I wasn't clear enough before: I'm not looking to have this fit in with my current armies. In fact, I want to take a bit of a break from them, although admittedly if an interesting conversion comes to mind, I will be performing it. So far, the models I'm considering for the project, including conversions from my bits box, are the following: -Engineseer (Pro: More unique of a model, con, probaably less bits in my box to use. -Blood Angels Primaris Lieutenant Tolmeron (I like the model, but Bright red just after doing Dark Red? Because I'm... not entirely a fan of the other colour schemes for Successors. Well, less not a fan, more don't want more dark red with the Tearers and already having nightmares of trying to paint Lamenter Shoulderpads) -Blood Angels Chaplain with Jump Pack (Breaks most of my rules, I know, but I like the dynamic pose and the model does look cool... I'm mostly resistant because, holy guy, dark red and such and I play Word Bearers, otherwise I'd be more wanting him) -Lord Executor (Probably one I'd not convert too much, but I DO like his look and I'd swap out his head for something, even a pre-Heresy Mk2/3 Head if I had to... although then I need to pick a chapter and that's it's OWN kettle of fish.)
  9. Cawl is more than double my budget. As are the bigger battlesuits. I'll consider the terrain basing ideas mind you, but I'm mainly focusing on what I can use for a project. My armies already have established terrain styles and while I like the idea of painting terrain... I have no board currently to put it on XD
  10. While true, I also want to consider conversions as a thing I might do... although the Primaris Lieutenants DO look cool. How about doing one as Fallen? That should give you an opportunity to convert. It also fits the First Legion 1. Primaris Fallen? 2. I'd still prefer for it NOT to be Chaos this time.

  12. Hi everyone So, was going to post this in AA, but this seems like it's more a question about painting and conversions. Recentle with Xmas having come and gone, I was given a Games Workshop Voucher. Aus$40, which isn't much, most basic squads need $50 to $55... but I have plenty of squads already so it's fine with me. Instead, I've decided I want a project... to use the voucher and maybe half again that in regular cash to buy something to work towards a singular model, preferrably a character or sergfeant type, to do as a project not linked to any of my armies.... but I have no idea what model to get. I can say I'd rather stay away from the colour schemes I do have but... this is the point where i need to ask you guys for suggestions. For context on what I already have: -I am usually a Chaos Player. Word Bearers with some renegades mixed in, Chaos Daemons, Thousand Sons and Heresy Era Death Guard. I'm at the least preferring to stay away from Chaos, although Chaotic Conversons of Imperial things or Xenos things (such as possessed Howling Banshee suits, for something I'm pretty sure would be over my budget) wouldn't go amiss. -I have parts left over both from kits and armies that never happened. Chaos Daemons, Orks, a small amount of Skaven, undead and both kinds of Space Marines - more of Chaos thanks to recent purchases - Imperial Guard and Eldar. (For those curious, Craftworld, originally planned for an Iyanden army, but now in the consideration to be used for parts to make possessed and mutated Craftworld stuff, like Wraithblades as Mutilators or the like. The parts are there though). -I want to make a character from this, or an individual that stands out. A Space Wolf Lone Wolf, some sort of champion standing out with his weapons, a Space Marine Captain with impressive weapons and so on.. Amongst others I have considered the Emperor's Champion Model but... feel somewhat off about it as the choice due to a lot of pre-heresy style armor in my Chaos armies. As well as previously mentioned Eldar projects. So... what do you guys think I should do.
  13. My vow is DONE! Daemon Princess done in one day! And for a bonus! Re-done pictures for all the prior vows bar the beetle! EDIT: They might be sideways but they count, right? They SHOULDN'T be sideways but I took Lengthwise photos so...
  14. At least you're not in my case. 2, and I'm going to be EXTREMELY busy tomorrow. And I have a Daemon Princess to paint.
  15. And the Daemon Beetle, DONE!
