  1. surely it makes more sense with Angron, because he has always had wings? Wasn't Fulgrim supposed to just be a giant snake-like creature. Wings are a new thing?
  2. every new vehicle introduced in the primaris age looks like something a 9 year old would draw. As previously argued by Scribe I believe; The general art direction of the new stuff is just atrocious. You are going to have to just live with the fact the creator of Astartes seems to prefer the older generation, buddy ;)
  3. Vaults of Terra would be shorter, has human/space marine/more to satisfy all, and is appropriately grim dark as hell. Ive said before elsewhere that Kill Team is a good self contained novel that also introduces known kind of tropes and ab adequate "omg" moment for those wanting a dose of space marines without overdoing it (imo going 'full space marine' too early will take away the impact of their introduction)
  4. Is the kid in the trailer child-Titus? Are we going to get some flashbacks? Titus has some (slightly less dazzling) blue eyes, if you go frame by frame in the trailer. Psyker person seems to appear in half-frames throughout the rapid-succession frames. Kind of sounds like Edris Elba, too. Though it might just be someone with a similar voice - surely that guy can't be *everywhere* ?
  5. Thanks for explaining the reddit drama - I don't follow such things so was not aware. I would agree with earlier comments that the less that silly stuff is debated, the better. Just hyped for the episode and any future content it may well spawn. The more mainstream exposure our hobby gets, the more likely we get some more awesome shows/animations/films - same goes for a number of these other franchises they are effectively promoting with this show (except Concord, perhaps. RIP. Perhaps the creators of that will at least get a good send-off with a decent episode)
  6. Was looking for reddit posts regarding the new trailer and found some guy on a sub called 'HorusGalaxy' getting his knickers in a twist over the fact there's a coloured Space Marine. Apparently they're everywhere now, and he is genuinely concerned Titus may be race-replaced. What is wrong with people? Anyway, that aside; The show looks great and I am looking forward to the UT and Armoured Core episodes as well as the obvious WH40K (which the clips we have seen so far look fab) - I don't know some of the other franchises very well, but Sifu looks like it will be an interesting one.
  7. Some blasts from the past re-connecting with WH40K - OG DoW cinematic dude for this, The Lord Inquisitor guy headed up the recent Deathwatch vignette, too. I had wondered if/when the latter might resurface, what with the U-turn in GW's policies on animation since his go at things way back when.
  8. Possibly the best load of winners I've seen to date - e.g The Khan entry is almost life-like. The quality nowadays is pretty mental. I wouldn't want to be a judge with such fine margins deciding who gets the top places.
  9. Was it not? It's been a long time but I was sure I was playing it at release :/ The DLC that split the playerbase up didn't come out for a while, but didn't seem thought through (as mentioned; it seemed to split the playerbase and hasten the population decline of multiplayer modes as a result)
  10. Game needed more maps for pvp, and a bit more about them. Not a promise to throw a couple more generic maps into play a year from now, tbh. The wave mode ala SM1 and DOW2 should have been around from the off, too. Not entirely sure it is a 55quid game (base) without the above. Campaign has seemed nice enough so far, though.
  11. Why on earth would you want any game on your HDD instead of an SSD? That is like willingly handicapping yourself.
  12. That'll likely be for the actual Amazon tv show stuff, separate from this one single episode thing. There are a near infinite number of stories to tell when it comes to 40k that dont include marines, but i've suggested in the past that if one must include them (and I suppose they must), they should, as you say, appear godlike and thus be used sparingly - in a sudden, mid-late introduction of ultra-violent badassery that leaves viewers sat in awe of wth just happened. There is a novel - Kill Team by Gav Thorpe iirc - that has a bit of all wh40k has to offer and is largely self-contained; prison "we need you for a mission" stuff, pick a band of misfits to go infiltrate a strange alien race (Tau) with whiffs of Inquisition - who employ a particular chap when stuff goes awry, and very much provides that "omg what did i just witness" effect. It's probably what I would choose for a quick film.
  13. Were they the victim of a hack? Or an employee decided to be silly? I won't click any links relating to the game at this point because I want to keep as free of info (besides "its good/its bad" as possible
  14. Just finished this. Not sure how to feel about the three overall. Generally pretty good, a bit of bloat but things tended to tick along despite the marathon length. Don't feel the ending was particularly satisfying. Erebus in particular probably cements his place as most hated character of the entire series with how much he anti-climactically ruins potentially interesting threads. Would have liked a bit more of a personal sitrep among the surviving movers and shakers once the dust has settled, as I feel it became a bit of a disjointed/disassociated? - I don't know the word to assign - waffle about the future. Some interesting nuggets though sneaking in at the very end there.
  15. On the contrary, despite the length of the first, it didn't feel bloaty to me vs some entire novels in the series previously that were entirely unnecessary.
