This might need a little explaining, its a minor variation on the list I have been playing in 10th and really not that different to the sort of list I have been playing since 6th edition.

First priority - strong primary and secondary scoring. Clearly if my opponent does not come at me hard I will usually score near maximum VP with this list so they have to come at me hard.

Second priority - primary denial. I can and do deny my opponents easy access to primary VP. That creates scoring pressure.

Third priority - hard to kill big guns. My big guns are all lone op, yes all of them. Shooting armies really struggle into this list and I tend to get easy wins into most shooting armies

Fourth priority - fall back and shoot. My weakness is to fast flying assault armies, my ability to shield my big guns is fine but if they kill my bubble-wrap and consolidate into my big guns those units need to be able to fall back and shoot. If an army like BA is right in my grill I can't afford to lose any shooting

And as a final point I do like units that do work in multiple phases. Krootox, the Twin Lance, Kroot Carnivores - all do a balance of work in the shooting and fight phases. I like the flexibility of that, it means I have options to respond to threats. Even Lone Spears will actually work in both shooting and fight phases - although they generally don't want to be doing that until late game.
