The Essorix
Sing the coming of the Chaos Gods
Glory to the Dwellers in the Depths
The Iscarne approaches
Iscarne, Iscarne, Iscarne!
The Uziren lead us to the truth
Praise the Golden One for the Word
The Iscarne in his shadow
Iscarne, Iscarne, Iscarne!
He strides down the Eightfold Path with burning footsteps
He is the Thrice-Born, the deified lord of the Host
Born once on Colchis, the desert world of faith and old gods
Born again on Khur, the ashes of Monarchia bitter in his mouth
Born anew in the glory of Chaos, risen above his mortal flesh
Made to bring Lorgar's writ to the realm of the material
The penitent of the Gods, the fire of the Word
Power without price, steel wrapped in faith
Iscarne! Iscarne! Iscarne!
-Ul'chak, The Essorix
Ul’chak the Essorix
Daemon‑Herald of the Iscarne
“The Word walks. The fleshlings kneel. The Iscarne comes.”
- The Essorix before the destruction of Khalva IV
When the Essorix walks, the air itself trembles for his coming marks the moment the Iscarne has taken the field. Ul’chak is no mere daemon; he is the herald of revelation, the living proclamation of the Ebon Word’s dread master. His form is a fusion of flesh and scripture, a towering silhouette wreathed in burning sigils that bleed light from the warp.
Once a mortal Astartes, Ul’chak’s faith consumed him utterly. Through ritual and sacrifice, he ascended beyond the limits of flesh, becoming the voice and vanguard of the Iscarne’s will. His presence precedes annihilation as a crimson omen that the Word itself has been made manifest.
In battle, the Essorix moves like a storm given purpose. His crozius carves through armor and faith alike, each strike echoing the syllables of the True Word. Those who behold him hear whispers of the Iscarne’s sermons in their minds, promises of transcendence through ruin.
Ul’chak is the first verse of apocalypse; the herald whose arrival means the sermon has begun and the conversion of a world is imminent.
