Origins & Background

Malrik Voss was born on the Ice death world Karnyx, where the struggle of survival was always brutal. Recruited into the Schola Progenium after executing a rogue psyker with a rusted blade at age 12, he rose quickly through the ranks of the Ordo Xenos. His early fieldwork involved purging hybrid cults and dissecting xenos physiology under battlefield conditions.

Lord Inquisitor Dannyrer saw in Voss a student that was precise, unflinching, and utterly loyal. For years, Voss was his favored pupil, executing high-risk interrogations and leading purges across the Greygar Sub-Sector. That changed when Sabrina Nerys entered the fold. 

Voss believes in absolute purity. To him, compromise is heresy, and mercy is weakness. He favors direct assaults, ritual extractions, and psychic flensing over subtlety or diplomacy. 

Notable Operations

Operation Pestilence Harvest (987.M41)

A sudden blight and virulent plague ravaged Garrow’s Rest’s vital crop yields and settler populations. Investigation revealed the Nurgle cult known as the “Children of Vermilion Rot” had bio-engineered the catastrophe. With the help of Interrogator Malrik Voss, the cult was exterminated and the contagion neutralized.60% of the planet’s population perished, the swift interdiction prevented a sector‐wide pandemic and yielded critical spore samples for future inoculations.

Operation Hallowed Crown (989.M41)

Ecclesiarchy reported erratic behavior among shrine custodians on the shrine world of Virellia Secundus, Lord Inquisitor Dannyrer dispatched Sabrina and Malrik Voss. Voss’s aggressive purge of shrine clergy on Virellia Secundus led to the discovery of a xenos psychic parasite in the Crown of Veldkamp. Voss ignored Sabrina's findings. The pair have had a professional rivalry since. 

Operation Ember Crucible (995.M41)

The Lysian foundries were sabotaged by a shadow cult grafting xenos artefacts onto war machine prototypes. He infiltrated the foundry’s lower forges disguised as a munitorum inspector. Personally oversaw the public execution of the cult’s Tech-Priest Regent in the molten steel pit and recovered samples of xeno-circuitry for Ordo Xenos analysis before collapsing the forge dome.

Operation Abyssal Dissonance (003.M42)

On the world Aedon V, Voss led a rapid strike into the Shrine of Fractured Reflections, a Tzeentch Cult. By capturing the cabal’s Seer-Lord. Voss conducted a ritual flensing, extracting the shrine’s location. He would seal the shrine with sanctified pyre-charges to prevent warp bleed-back into the planet’s crust.

Deployed with the Order of the Divine Grace to burn a path for the Loxodon Guard 2nd Company. His purges of the inner districts were effective but brutal, causing friction with loyalist commanders and sparking unrest among civilians.
