In a previous blog "Howling Griffons, what say you ....?", I touched on the CtA2026 and what I was thinking about Vowing:

"My planned vow is 3 Terminator Squads (5 man each- 15 points), 3 Terminator Assault Squads (5 man each- 15 points), Terminator Techmarine (5 pts), Terminator LT #2 (5pts), Terminator Company Champion (5pts), Ballistus Dreadnought (3 pts), Brutalis Dreadnought (3pts), and Land Raider (6 pts).  Total points 63"

Well the math was not mathing....57 points not 63 points. 

 Well I am going to be "adding" to the vow, if I can crank out some of these kits this coming weekend and get some of them primed. In years past I have failed miserably due to me over extending my time and vowing too much.  I am not going to VOW everything at once this time. I am allowed 3 vows per Stronghold. I should vow my Celestian Insidiants Kill Team too for the Imperium, as I need to paint 3 KT models for 12 MoH Challenge that are over due and I can add the single models as a vow for July, August, and September 12 MoH Challenge and as an Imperium CtA 2026 vow. So let's look at the plan I am thinking for the Astartes stronghold. 

Vow #1

• 2x 5 Man Terminator Squads 
• 2x 5 Man Assault Terminator Squads

  I have a game on June 26 so I would have to crank out 20 dudes in 11 days plus restart/ finish my Librarian in Terminator Armor and finish my Captain in Terminator Armor*.  And since my Terminators are in the Night World Camo Scheme, the hardest part is the shoulder pads checkered pattern. But along with my completed Crucible of Champions Apothecary in Terminator armor, it is currently 990pts. 

Vow points: 20

Vow #2

• Land Raider Prometheus
• Land Raider Phobos (maybe)
• Either Phobos Marines/ Terminators or Armageddon Marines

  I figured a Land Raider will be a nice break from Terminators and are still part of the 1st company builds. I still would have 1 more squads of terminators paint and an Assault Terminator Squad to convert and paint once I buy the Deathwing Knights squad but they may have to wait.  Armageddon Marines (Captain, Chaplain with Jump pack, Intercessors, Vanguard Vets)** would be the Quartered Scheme so another nice break from painting black and Terminators. Captain my be replaced with a Jump Captain, along with addition of Assault Intercessors, and Assault Intercessors with jump pack. Phobos would be Reivers, Infiltrators, Incursors, characters in Phobos armor, all in Night World camo, so more black. But it may end up being Land Raiders and Terminators.

Vow points: at least 6

Vow #3

• Ballistus Dreadnought
• Brutalis Dreadnought
• Phobos Marine/ Terminators or  Armageddon Marines which ever I did not do previous vow.

 I probably should do the Phobos Marines/ Terminators for this Vow as the 2 Dreadnoughts will be in the quartered scheme so I am not painting the same scheme. This vow will be the hardest as it will based on the time frame when Vow #2

Vow #1

• 5 Celestian Insidiants 

  With just 5 models and 1 each month with the except of the 2 I need to do, should be very doable. 

So with these vows in mind this weekend I need to:

• Build Land Raider Prometheus and Land Raider Phobos
• Build Brutalis Dreadnought
• Build 5 Celestian Insidiants
• Finish basing all the models
• Prime all the models black. 
• Finish my Captain in Terminator Armor and Librarian in Terminator Armor

* This would complete my 12MoH Vow.

** Giving son the Eradicators, and Librarian is going to count as Chief Librarian Tigurius. so they will not be in this round.
