Lists for the List God: The Skull Brethren 2026

With the points now out and 11th edition in full swing. I have been list crafting my butt off and I have some thoughts to share about where my projects. My method was to make 2 lists out of my current 4 armies: Space Marines, Tyranids, Astra Militarum and World Eaters. With the new detachments rules, it leaves a lot of room for experimentation. I usually don't play hyper competitive and if I can, I try to play with the current models that I have in my collection when possible. So first we are going to look at the Skull Brethren, my World Eaters.

World Eaters - Berzerker Warband 1995

Force Disposition: Purge the Foe

Khârn the Betrayer (115pts)

Lord Invocatus (110pts)

Daemon Prince of Khorne (230pts): Warlord, Helm of Brazen Ire

Lord on Juggernaut (140pts): Berzerker Glaive

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

3x Exalted Eightbound (140pts)

3x Exalted Eightbound (140pts)

10x Jakhals (65pts)

10x Jakhals (65pts)

Defiler (270pts)

Thoughts: So I do believe that Berzerker Warband is going to be the strongest still out of the current detachments. I have my defiler in the melee build withe baleflamer and scourge. The 11th edition cover rules has really hurt World Eaters shooting, hitting on 5s really sucks. So I think my defiler role will be as guard dog. Guarding the back field from any rapid ingress/deep strikers units with its unleash wrath ability. Is that the best way to use a 270pts unit? Probably not. I'm also thinking about merging 2 berzerker units and run a 20 man unit with the Glavie lord. The problem is my daemon prince probably needs an escort and I don't think Jakhals fit the bill. Lastly, I thinking about dropping both Jakhal units for a 3rd unit of exalted eightbound. Since Purge the Foe is better with fewer units.

World Eaters - Goretrack Onslaught, Vessels of Wrath 1995

Force Disposition: Take and Hold

Lord on Juggernaut (105pts): Warlord

Master of Executions (60pts)

Master of Executions (60pts)

Master of Executions (60pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180pts)

6x Eightbound (270pts)

3x Exalted Eightbound (140pts)

3x Exalted Eightbound (140pts)

2x Chaos Spawn (95pts)

Defiler (270pts)

Chaos Rhino (85pts)

Chaos Rhino (85pts)

Chaos Rhino (85pts)

Thoughts: I call this, Onslaught of Wrath. Again the defiler will be guard dog while everything else claims the objectives up field. I could see the rhinos doing crushing impact stratagem. I could drop the spawn for some Jakhals. I could also run Khârn, but as the current rules are written, Khârn could kill a berzerker while in the rhino, plus he won't be able to take advantage of the vessels of wrath stratagems. I was hoping to fit some helbrutes, but wasn't able to. The big unit of eightbound might be better serve by a slaughterbound rather than a Juggernaut lord.

Here's a picture of a new Master of Executions. He was once a dark apostle back before World Eaters got there own codex.

I think 11th edition was a little harsh on the World Eaters but it's nothing that I can't handle. I might have to get some eightbound, maybe a slaughterbound.

Until next time.

Another issue I could foresee is the Max 9" coherence for that large mob of Bezerkers. in the 1st list.

Of the 2 lists, I like the 1st one more.

Yeah I thought about that as well. They almost need the Juggernaut lord to navigate the terrain, but that just compounds the coherence issue. You can do it. But you're almost begging your opponent to kill a couple of berzerkers during your first turn to make the unit more manageable.
