Lists for the List God: Loxodon Guard 2026

Hey guys, back once again with the Lists for the List God. This time my "Dark Angels" the Loxodon Guard. When I first started this project back in the COVID times, i picked a dark green and white colour scheme. When I show my brother some pictures he said "So, this is a Dark Angel successor?". Of course i said "No, I'm running them as vanilla marines, unknown origins so I can flex into whatever is fun at the time". Now 11th edition his here and I have chosen to flex into Dark Angels lol. Here are the two lists:

Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Dark Angels - Dark Age Arsenal, Ironstorm Spearhead 1995

Force Disposition - Purge the Foe

Apothecary (40pts)
Apothecary (40pts)
Chaplain (60pts): Warlord
Lieutenant (45pts)
Lieutenant (45pts)
Techmarine (85pts): Target Augury Web

5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)

6x Bladeguard Veteran Squad (160pts)
6x Bladeguard Veteran Squad (160pts)
10x Hellblaster Squad (235pts): Dark Age Arsenal Enhancements: Petition of Stability
10x Hellblaster Squad (235pts): Dark Age Arsenal Enhancements: Petition of Stability
Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
Redemptor Dreadnought (205pts): Icarus Rocket Pod, Redemptor Fist, Macro Plasma Incinerator, Onslaught gatling cannon, Twin Fragstorm Grenade Launcher
Redemptor Dreadnought (205pts): Icarus Rocket Pod, Redemptor Fist, Macro Plasma Incinerator, Onslaught gatling cannon, Twin Fragstorm Grenade Launcher
Callidus Assassin (100pts)

Thoughts:  This was very similar to the list I was running in 10th, the main difference is adding Dark Age Arsenal. Each Hellblaster squads each gets an Apothecary and a Lieutenant. The Chaplain goes with one of the Bladeguard units. The Techmarine helps out the Ballistus Dreadnoughts. The Callidus is there to steal any unguarded objectives. I'm not sure which is better, Entreaty of Perpetual Ardour or Petition of Stability? I went with Petition of Stability since you can benefit from it all the time, not just during overwatch. I like to call this one The Plasmastorm Spearhead

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Dark Angels - Gladius Task Force
Force Disposition: Priority Assets

Lion El'Jonson (285pts):Warlord
Apothecary (40pts)
Apothecary (40pts)
Captain (80pts): Heavy Bolt Pistol, Master‑crafted power weapon and 1 Relic Shield
Techmarine (55pts)

5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)
5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)
5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)

6x Bladeguard Veteran Squad (160pts)
3x Eliminator Squad (75pts)
3x Eliminator Squad (75pts)
10x Hellblaster Squad (220pts)
10x Hellblaster Squad (220pts)
Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
Redemptor Dreadnought (205pts): Icarus Rocket Pod, Redemptor Fist, Macro Plasma Incinerator, Onslaught gatling cannon, Twin Fragstorm Grenade Launcher

Thoughts: So this is way different for my Gladius force I ran in 10th edition. First I have Lion El'Jonson in the mix, who will be proxy in with my chapter master model project. There are 3 intercessor units and 2 eliminators units to do the actions for the Priority Assets tasks while the rest of the army puts on the pressure on the enemy. I'm not sure if Gladius is best choice with the given units but its an detachment that I have the most experience with, so I'm going with it.

That's it for me today. If there any Dark Angel players that have suggestions, please sound off.

I feel like list 1 is very Dark Angel and Like it.  The 2nd feels like standard Marines with the Lion. Both work. But I like list 1 better.
