Looks great, for some reason I'm getting "We ate lots of T'AU this week" Vibes from the scheme (in a good way)  as to basing, I saw somewhere years ago where they based the army in a fashion where the fast moving swarm units were on the enemies type base i.e. checker plating or industrial basing etc and the big heavies that came at the end were based on bases that looked like the Nids had taken over and there were spore chimneys and overgrown vines etc like it had been assimilated when they had got to it... just an idea...

excellent scheme. there is a similar scheme in the nids forum that may give you some ideas too. also come post some stuff in the nids area as always good to have more participation.  keep it up!

Made some progress, to the point that I'd be fine calling this done. I may add to it but I think I have everything figured out about how I want to paint now. I haven't had much time to work on stuff lately but had a bit today. 

The base is supposed to be an alien world. Me and @_Saracen keep talking about making a table of alien terrain (maybe Eldar, maybe Necron, maybe something else) and so I'm hoping basing stuff in very alien looking colors will help me get motivated, haha. Its the inverse (more or less) of my Eldar's basing so if I make a table with lots of pinks and blues I'm hoping both will match well enough. But that's a project for another time!
