Huge Update

WAR

Such a productive weekend! Friday I took off as a planned sick day and ended up having to run some errands for work and answering phone calls. Perks of being the boss, but at least I am hourly so it was all paid.  I initially took the day off to recover from my cold but Thursday night I built Cabinet 4 of 5 for the office/ hobby room.

After my errands I decided to hit up FLGS in hopes of them being out of the a Legiones Astartes Battle Group....if not I'd pick it up....

Glad I had a full discount card. Start of the XIXth Legion Siege Company, Land Raider Proteus is going to the Pride of the Legion force. that gives me 2 of the 3 I need Plus I have both Spartans.

After getting home Friday I began moving models in to the cabinets

The Fiancé are splitting them up evenly but she says she only needs 2 of the 5 so I can have 3, we shall see.

Saturday was getting rid of the old furniture day. Lots of hard work and moving crap but Garage is now semi useable as work area. Saturday Evening I did some painting too unwind. Nothing much just a second coat of Scale 75 speed metal on the parts for sensors, lights and vision ports.

Sunday we decided for a lazy day, so more painting was done.

You have no idea just how jealous I am of your hobby room… I have to alternate between the garage, the caravan and a tray on my lap depending on the circumstances and anywhere I set up a display to take photos I have to take it all apart again afterwards. Having this kind of space available to work on the hobby would be a complete dream.

The models look excellent too by the way :)

LOL awesome stuff.  your model room looks to be nearly the size of my whole dwelling  ...

Thank you @MithrilForge And it looks bigger than it is. My Fiancé has the other side of the office/ Hobby room and I'm standing in the door.

Thank you, @TheArtilleryman. It is a dream and it has been expanding since my first work space at my a parents, to my first house with ex-GF, to current house with Fiancé. I want to set up a spray booth, humidifier, and air purifier in the room but need to save up for those. We have to install one more cabinet and move all the other ones down.  Ideally I would have set up in the garage, but It's not insulated and does not have AC so I would die in it during the summers here in Arizona when it reaches 120* F.

As others have said, fantastic hobby space man!!!!

I see you're in the States, can I ask what Ikea cabinets are those? I may have not been paying to close of attention while looking through their catalog but can't recall seeing cabinets quite like those.......they might not be available up here in Canada mind you.

Thank you @Spazmolytic, my Fiancé is an Ikea addict I was surprised when she agreed to purchase our new dining room set and couches from somewhere other than Ikea  I am only semi joking..... The Cabinets are Brimnes  (link is for Ikea Canada ) I had Detolf at my previous house and having to buy aftermarket mounts and more shelves sucked.
