Relictors Logo Sheet BOLS
By bigred
I have been noting for a while that GW does a great job of covering the major 1st Founding and select 2nd Founding chapters with their decal sheets. However, there are a number of great looking 2nd and later founding chapters who get a good amount of back-story and have great alternative uniform colors that never have had decals produced for them. In the interest of promoting diversity in the Marine community and encouraging players to branch out beyond the "big 4" and using the Trait system, I will begin producing logo sheets for some of these other chapters who I think look great and have no GW decal support.
First up is the Relictors. These guys are just great and have wonderful background fluff, rules and wargear from White Dwarf.
I created the original logo in Adobe Illustrator, then made variations of it for size and color (outline and solid color versions). The sheet is designed for printout on Decal printer paper which is easily available online.
The thing about decal paper is that it is clear by default (instead of white), so the decals need to be applied to a light colored surface to be visible at all. The procedure for applying the "outline only" decals is to apply them to a white surface, and wait till they are fully dried. Then using the outlines as a guide, paint in the darker color around the decal. Its is odd, but gets the job done.
Size wise, the larger decals towards the top are best used for super heavies/terrain, and move down in size to the large array of Marine Shoulderpad towards the bottom.
In any case, enjoy and I wish you the best in using this set for your forces.
Please feel free to leave comments if there is a special Marine Chapter you would love to collect, but have no GW decals, and I will see what I can do.

Red Scorpions Logo Sheet BOLS
By bigred
The Badab Series moves on... Here we have the Red Scorpions. These guys have a long history in the 40k universe going back to Rogue Trader. The chapter not only took part in Badab, but are big players in both the Anphelion Project, and the Siege of Vraks. These guys have lots of cool Forgeworld stuff for them, so check em out.
I have been noting (again) that GW does a great job of covering the major 1st Founding and select 2nd Founding chapters with their decal sheets. However, there are a number of great looking 2nd and later founding chapters who get a good amount of back-story and have great alternative uniform colors that never have had decals produced for them. In the interest of promoting diversity in the Marine community and encouraging players to branch out beyond the "big 4", I keep knocking out logo sheets for some of these other chapters who I think look great and have no GW decal support.
The sheet is designed for printout on Decal printer paper which is easily available online. These decals are designed for the WHITE decal paper. The procedure is as follows:
WHITE PAPER: Just cut out the decals and apply them to your target surface. When they are fully dried, you can touch up any messed up edge detail with background color.

Size wise, the larger decals towards the top are best used for super heavies/terrain, and move down in size to the large array of Marine shoulderpads towards the bottom. I've included the standard Red Scorpions against a white field.
In any case, enjoy and I wish you the best in using this set for your forces.

Minotaurs RT Era Logo Sheet BOLS
By bigred
"The Minotaurs fight in a very unique way - with massive head on assaults followed by retreats; much like a bull's charge. This unorthodox and not always tactically sound way of fighting, has made them unpopular allies among other Imperial forces.
During the Badab War the Minotaurs were brought in to relieve other loyal Chapters recalled to perform their normal service duties. In 908.M41 the Minotaurs caught the Lamenters Chapter who eventually surrendered after bloody ship-to-ship fighting in an ambush. The Minotaurs were granted salvage rights to space craft and a portion of the booty for their part in the war."
Its time for the Minotaurs, yet another chapter of the 21st "Cursed" Founding. We are doing them now as part of the Badab War campaign book, but they are a rather imposing chapter. If you fear the paintbrush, are unsure of your skills with yellow and stripes then back away. But if you want an army that will turn heads, and get the "Oohs and Ahhs" from the ladies, and sepcalizes in ship-to-ship boarding actions then step right up! The Minotaurs await! Enjoy guys!
We have been noting for a while that GW does a great job of covering the "Big 4" chapters with their decal sheets. However, there are a number of great looking 2nd and later Founding chapters who get a good amount of back-story and have great alternative uniform colors that never have had decals produced for them. In the interest of promoting diversity in the Space Marine community and encouraging players to branch out beyond the "Big-4", I continue our line of logo sheets for some of these other chapters who I think look great and have no GW decal support.
The sheet is designed for printout on decal printer paper which is easily available online. These decals are designed for the CLEAR decal paper. The procedure is as follows:
CLEAR PAPER: If you use the clear decals, the decals need to be applied to a white colored surface to be visible at all. The procedure for applying the decals is to apply them to a white or yellow surface, and wait till they are fully dried. Then paint in the Minotaur's yellow around the logos if any minor touchups are required. It is odd, but gets the job done.
Custom Decal Tutorial
This sheet is sized for superheavy vehicles up towards the top and scales down to marine scout shoulderpad size at the very bottom. I have included the standard "bulls head" chapter logo first described in the Rogue Trader Badab War article. Please make sure you run off a test sheet first on your printer to make sure.
In any case, enjoy and I wish you the best in using this set for your forces.

Mentor Legion RT Era Logo Sheet BOLS
By bigred
Its been too long since BoLS has kicked out a logo sheet, so it was time to tiptoe through my backlog of requests.

I've gotten a few requests for the Mentor Legion (really!), with their old school Rogue Trader era original logo so here they are.
The sheet is designed for printout on Decal printer paper which is easily available online. These decals are designed for the CLEAR decal paper. The procedure is as follows:

Generic Astartes Icons Logo Sheet BOLS
By bigred
Did someone ask for generic logos?? You all asked (loudly) and you shall recieve.
Most of us have some marines lying around somewhere, and one of the most fun parts of painting up a snazzy Marine Army is designing the iconography for our men. GW does a great job with their marine decal sheet, but there are all manner of other variants of the standard icons for Tactical, Assault, Devastator, and Veteran squads. Here is a logo sheet providing a set of 12 squad variant logos across a range of popular colors. I have also thrown in both roman numerals and the "Astartes Numerals" in a variety of colors.
The sheet is designed for printout on Decal printer paper which is easily available online. These decals are designed for the CLEAR decal paper. The procedure is as follows:
CLEAR PAPER: If you use the clear decals, the decals need to be applied to a light colored surface to be visible at all. The procedure for applying the "outline only" decals is to apply them to a white surface, and wait till they are fully dried. Then using the outlines as a guide, paint in the darker color around the decal if needed. It is odd, but gets the job done.

This entire sheet is sized for Marine shoulderpads, but please make sure you run off a test sheet first on your printer to make sure.
In any case, enjoy and I wish you the best in using this set for your forces.

Generic Astartes Banners
By bigred
Did someone ask for generic Astartes banners?? You all asked (loudly) and you shall recieve.
Most of us have dreams of putting together that awesome marine Company one day. There is something cool about getting to organize your entire force into their correct squads, and dressing the infantry and transports up with the correct squad markings. Of course, there is the issue of those pesky Company Banners that few of us wants to paint. So here is a sheet of generic company banenrs that will cover all 9 of the companies in a marine chapter (the Scout Company doesn't have its own banner). These use the traditional company colors and symbols laid down in the Codex Astartes. I have provided three sets of them with the "chapter circle" in white, black, and grey based on what will look the best for you to apply your chapter logo into. I have also provided matching colored sets of smaller backpack banners for your use. Here is an example of models using both types of banners:

Hey guess what, this sheet isn't for decal paper. Just print these out on good quality paper with a color printer and cut them out. These will normally look a little better with seom minor weathering to "roughen them up" a bit. These banners are designed for the application of your chapter symbol or decal onto them so you may still want to access the decal tutorial:
Custom Decal Tutorial
This entire sheet is sized for standard Marine standardbearers and the smaller backpack mounted banner poles, but please make sure you run off a test sheet first on your printer to make sure.
In any case, enjoy and I wish you the best in using this set for your forces.
