Formal badge of the Venerators Chapter

This image is a variation I developed based on the original winged lion logo image drawn by Mike Harpin, as seen at http://dribbble.com/shots/248347-Winged-Lion-Logo . Mr. Harpin graciously gave permission for me to use the image in a limited personal not-for-profit use, namely my Space Marine army. He also provided a variation, filling the lion in. I took the original version as an overlay layer, making the background transparent, applying an effects filter, and giving it transparency for the gold effect on the solid yellow version that he provided. The overall background was turned transparent for in-article use. The end result was the formal badge that you see here. The standard filled in version will be used for Chapter badges on shoulder pads, and a reduced version is used as the icon in the article header images.
