We are waiting for an official announcement about the future of chaos daemons as a faction, my gut feeling is we will get no codex and get to play with the index and the 4 grotmas detachments for the remainder of 10th edition, for 11th who knows (I also doubt they will axe the faction in 11th edition). Are the leaked noise marines alright? I looked at them and they seemed "meh" to me (I'm not much of a competitive player).
  2. There is so much wild speculation here about the future of daemons and most of them I strongly disagree. To me daemons will remain an index for 10th (like they did with deathwatch). The 5 detachments we already have are like a codex more o less. And 11th edition we will see next year, I highly doubt they will squat the faction, this is like my opinion anyway. Which was the last erased faction from 40k? Don't remember, daemonkin? Inquisition came back with Imperial Agents more or less. I'm happy we are getting the release at last! I will skip the army set and wait for the combat patrol, even if I were to buy it now, I would start painting them like next year, and the cards and codex would be like paperweight to me.
  3. I suppose we will know with the release of EC codex, but what i want to know: - Will we still be able to soup daemons with other chaos armies? (the rule is in index chaos daemons, so if that goes, soup goes away too). - What happens to belakor? maybe they will put him in all the cult legion codexes? - The new grotmas daemon detachments have 2 keywords, legiones daemonica and the specific god, will they implement them like that in each cult marine codex? will they simply update the detachments as needed if the keywords change? I think we are gonna lose playing mixed daemons armies, a shame. On the positive side, maybe with this change there is no limit to how many nurgle daemons can go in a death guard army for example.

Polyurethane varnishes are more durable, but more aggressive and can reactivate Inks, Contrast and Xpress Colors as well as washes and Shade paints and also damage decals." source: https://taleofpainters.com/2023/01/review-new-vallejo-game-color-range-now-for-pro-painters-only/ So maybe that's what happend. If you use vallejo products, you can buy the varnishes from the new model color range, those are water based and I never had a problem. Hope this helps.
  5. Yeah could be, shame. Some armies have a lot of units in 2000 points games, it's too much for my taste.
  6. I agree with both of you. What i would like to see is another general points increase for everyone, to make what today is a 1.500 points army a 2.000 points one. That would make the games shorter, and many unit selections more important/interesting.
  7. I respect the people that like and paint their EC pink and gold, but I'm a pink and black guy myself, hellraiser all the way. And GW will change the lore all the time, at this stage I just focus on the fluff that I like.
  8. This sound great! I hope later on there are more news about daemonettes. Are all Emperors Children noise marines? Because I was under the impression they were not, from reading some novels/books. I'm happy there will be a regular EC chaos space marine kit!
  9. As a product this has a broader appeal than just kill team. It has a bunch of minis that you can't get anymore (normally). The DG heroes look great, the plague caster specifically (I don't like the one you can buy at the store). This should retail for less than 100 usd, but knowing gw this will be a 100+ usd product. In GWs Mind you are also getting 2 characters (SM captain and DG caster) with the teams, so yeah 100+ (I really really want to be wrong). Everything in KT has been going up in price (because it sells).
  10. And also the armigers could be built as 2 helverins and 2 warglaives, it didn't came with the "full" sprues like this new one does for the armigers (Source is that I have that older box).
  11. I'm experimenting with the locations of the skulls for my sergeant. Do the heads on the backpack look too goofy? I think maybe I should add like a spike to the top one to make it more believable that it is holding in place. What do you all think?

I made some changes to my list, dropped the second tactical squad (since I'm taking terror assault, the night raptors fill the second compulsory troop slot), and added a third recon squad with nemesis bolters. Is that too much? Also was planning on adding a command squad for my Delegatus, with that I would have like 6 units with line, but still have like 54 points free, was thinking of: Adding 2 more models to the command squad or an apothecary for the tactical squad, any other ideas or advice?   14. Yeah I don't want a new edition I want faqs and fixes for the existing edition, if GW has to do it with updated core rules so be it, but the 3 year release cycle is cancerous greed.
  15. Hey thanks! I always forget that I can simply talk it out with my would be opponent. I do prefer more narrative style of play anyway.
