Hey there. I'm trying to decide how to build my Deathwatch army, and I'm looking for some help. Would you kind folks be willing to weigh in? Rule of cool would is the first priority, and there are a few restriction based on this: I have 15 Vets, of which 10 are from Deathwatch Overkill (Squad Donatus and Squad Excis to be precise), and the other 5 are unbuilt. 8 Vanguard Vets, with 2 from DWOK, one other based on Dante. The rest are unbuilt. 3 Bikes with Power Sword (DWOK), Power Maul and Power Axe. 5 Terminators with Cyclone, Assault Cannon, Flamer (DWOK), Claws, Hammer and Shield). The 10 Vets from Deathwatch overkill carry to followoing: Bolter Bolter, Power Sword Bolter, Chainsword Stalker Bolter Combi-Melta Shotgun Power Maul, Storm Shield Power Sword, Plasma Pistol Frag Cannon Infernus Heavy Bolter 5 more Vets are unbuilt and I was planning to go for the following: Combi-Plasma, Xenophase Stalker Bolter Shotgun Heavy Thunder Hammer (Black Shield) Frag Cannon Aside from the Frag Cannon, these could be built with other weapons. Here is how I'd reorganize them: KT1 Combi-Plasma, Xenophase DWOK Shotgun Shotgun DWOK Frag Cannon Frag Cannon Vanguard w/ Power Lance, Storm Shield KT2 DWOK Bolter, Power Sword DWOK Bolter DWOK Stalker Bolter Stalker Bolter DWOK Infernus Heavy Bolter KT3 DWOK Power Sword, Plasma Pistol Heavy Thunder Hammer (Black Shield) DWOK Power Maul, Storm Shield DWOK Bolter, Chainsword DWOK Combi-Melta Vanguard Chainsword, Hand Flamer (DWOK) I'm trying to get them focused on specific roles. Is this set up any good? I could then add some Terminators, Bikes to these squads. As for the Vanguard, I was planning a 5 man Squad as follows: Lightning Claws (DWOK) as the Sergeant. Power Axe, Infernus Pistol (Dante) Heavy Thunder Hammer Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield Lightning Claw, Bolt Pistol And 1 more that can't decide what he'll carry and what to do with. Either put him on one of the kill teams or on the Vanguard... Dual pistol any good? Thoughts? Suggestion on the unbuildt models?
