I agree the use of keywords makes it clear Baal Predator's can't use it - but the oversight in artwork made me confused again. I know the rules team would be different to the art/design team, but it would be nice if they could work closer together to not create more confusion. I still think I would have liked to see it confirmed in the FAQ, but seeing as the wording is the same in the Codex (where there is no confusing art) I agree it's not supposed to work with Baal Preds.

Is it confirmed Baal Predator's can't use Killshot? They are featured on the killshot stratagem data card, so that would seem weird if they couldn't use it.

If I want to make a Captain Smashypants, and don't really have any spare models/bits to do so, would the Vanguard Veteran Squad box be the best option to enable me to do so? Is he going to look 'captainy' enough if I make him out of just the Veteran sprue?

I think this is the recipe for a lone wolf captain. You can always try and add support (via Sanguinor, Librarian, Corbulo etc) if you wish Pre-game 1 Captain with Jump Pack, Thunder Hammer, and optional off-hand (e.g. Stormshield, Chainsword, Inferno Pistol) Artisan of War Warlord Trait The Angel’s Wing Relic 1 CP - Death Visions of Sanguinius 1/3 CP - Armoury of Baal (optional) Get in position 2CP - Forlorn Fury (optional) 2CP - Descent of Angels (optional) Charge… and fight! 1CP - Red Rampage 1CP - Command Re-roll (optional) 3CP - Honour the Chapter 2CP - Only in Death Does Duty End (optional - if you die) -

If I park my warlord near my Hellblasters, can I use Standard of Sacrifice Relic to give them a 5+FNP is they supercharge and die? Or does this not work due to 'model is slain' rather than 'model loses x wounds'? And I assume Standard of Sacrifice also works on the warlord himself? *Edit did some searching and previous dicussions make it sound like SoS does work with Hellblasters. Sweet!

Cheers! He wouldn't be finished without this event as motivation so thanks for running it. And the grail is on the transfer sheet from the Dark Imperium box set. Just got lucky that it fit in that spot so well.

Thanks! I'm quite a slow painter, but do enjoy the end product when I finally get there. For shading I go with Nuln Oil for the metallics, and recess shadeSeraphim Sepia across the rest of the model. Then when they are dry repeat the process but with Agrax Earthshade across both areas again. I pretty much follow SS82's tutorial step-by-step -

I've just finished my captain tonight after working all weekend on him. Quite happy with the results Don't know if I will get good weather to seal it, but will post some photos in the morning when I have better light. *EDIT* - photos attached! I will be putting grass tufts on the base, but will do this after I spray varnish which will be weather dependent as to when I can do that. So for all intents and purposes, I'm all done. More photos

I Mcrat rise to the challenge of From Rage to Salvation and vow to complete one Primaris Captain with Power Fist (store anniversary model) on or before November 30th, 2017. Should I bring honour to the Blood Angels, I will proudly wear the IRATUS DOMINUS badge; should I fail I will display the CARCERES IRA on my chest as a reminder of my shame. I'm the slowest hobbyist in the world so will start with just 1 vow and go from there. If i can get into gear, I've got a Baal Predator waiting to be primed and painted too.

I don't think there is an official answer to this one yet. Same with their shoulder colour. Sergeants get black, captains stay red. Liutenants get...? Can make arguments for any colour arrangement so ultimately do what you want. But I'm kind of waiting for some official info before painting them up fully.
