Opposition As part of an ongoing series, here is my 1500 "All Comer List" and it is based on a list I took against Eldar in the fifth edition. For my next battle it is likely to be used against an Eldar or Marine force and what these opposition forces consist of can be seen in my blog. The List Librarian ~ Shield and Rage Sanguinary Priest ~ Power Sword Assault Squad (8) ~ Melta Gun ~ Plasma Pistol, Power Axe, Melta Bomb ~ Rhino ~~ Extra Armour Tactical Squad (10) ~ Plasma Gun ~ Missile Launcher ~ Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Melta Bomb ~ Rhino ~~ Extra Armour Lemartes Death Company (5) ~ Jump Pack ~ Bolter, Power Fist (1) Scout Squad (5) ~ Heavy Bolter ~ Sniper Rifle (4) ~ Camo Cloak Attack Bike Squadron (2) ~ Multi Melta (2) Predator Destructor ~ Lascannon Sponsons ~ Search Light "Fragioso" Dreadnought ~ Frag Cannon ~ Melta Gun ~ Magna Grapple ~ Drop Pod Options As you can see I have my "rock" assault unit that is screened by the three tanks and the bikes. I have an objective sitter, a distraction and no anti air (but I wont need that for this fight). However I can't help but wonder how I can further tweak this. 1) Do I have enough scoring troops at this level and do I have too many eggs in one basket seeing as I have a singular moving force? 2) I'm using Jump Packs on the Death Company to a) have Lemartes and b ) allow for quicker charging, but would it be better to drop the Jump Packs and Lemartes, add either a Chaplain or another DC with a Power Sword and put them in the available Razorback, allowing more points to be spent elsewhere? 3) What should I do if I face a lot of terminators? 4) Should I look into divination for the Librarian? Looking forward to your thoughts

Buoyed by my success with my 1500 point list I have changed my original plans and expanded on that previous list. In theory it plays the same as the earlier list and the opposition it's likely to face, as well as the alternative models at my disposal can be found in my Blog. Sanguinary Priest ~ Power Sword Assault Squad (8) ~ Melta Gun ~ Plasma Pistol, Power Axe, Melta Bomb ~ Rhino Tactical Squad (10) ~ Plasma Gun ~ Missile Launcher ~ Combi-Melta, Chainsword, Melta Bomb ~ Rhino Death Company (10) ~ Bolter, Power Fist (1) ~ Bolter (1) ~ Bolt Pistol, Power Sword (2) ~ Drop Pod Scout Squad (10) ~ Heavy Bolter ~ Sniper Rifle (9) ~ Camo Cloak Attack Bike Squadron (2) ~ Multi Melta (2) Predator Destructor ~ Lascannon Sponsons ~ Search Light Furioso Librarian Dreadnought ~ Shield and Wings Options As you can see I've again gone for a "rock" unit screened by four vehicles and the bikes. I've then got the Scouts that cab sit on 1-2 objectives, a large distraction unit and no anti air (but I don't really need that just yet). I know I'm a little shy on scoring units, but what can I change to improve that? Any further thoughts?

The Knight and the Predator lead the charge, with the Razorbacks and the jumping Death Company using them as cover. The Attack Bikes stay close too, on the flanks. The Death Company Dreadnought arrives with the Stormraven and I'll probably put the small Assault Squad into reserves for late game objective grabbing. I do realise that having a squad of Death Company with jump packs is an inefficient use of points, but I don't have much choice really (the only other jump choices in my collection are Sanguinary Guard...). Comments and criticisms welcomed as always.

My group is running a mini tournament and I'm on the fence about joining. Possible players: GK/Tau/Harlequins SoB/Necrons Nids/DG/LoV BA (me) the organiser has GSC/Emperor's Spears and is on the bench. As you can see, they kinda want me to attend... Tournament outline is as follows: So, there's some interesting stuff in there, but the missions sound weird. Imagine they will change going forward (especially mission 1...) -

Will be camping an objective or somewhere useful, similar to the Devastators Devastators have the option of mortal wound shenanigans on either <FLY> or anything with multiple wounds. Scout ML is backup Other two Scout Squads are the first wave and push hard at the start. Second wave is the Librarian Dreadnought and Furioso Mortis, Contemptor, Leviathan are babysat by the Captain & Lieutenant at first, before the Lieutenant being able to UWoF to where needed later on. I expect this group to push forward either centrally or on a flank, Will need to be dealt with Librarian Dreadnought is the Warlord just for Artisan of War. Is there a better choice? What am I missing and/or have I covered every base? C&C appreciated
