I've been criminally negligent is posting for the last 7(!) years, and just as big (if not bigger) backlog as before I hope this will aid in getting me through some of it. The primary focus will primarily focus on my Fire Falcons, a first-born marine space chapter (although more commonly known as the Tangamarines, as my display name might suggest). Some inquisition, mechanicum, and terrain my also sneak in to act as a palate cleanser to spice things up, as one can only paint so much orange! The Fire Falcons are exclusively supplied mark VI armour up to the neckline, and from there are for the most part mark VII. At the time I started, I really hated painting kneepads, and what better way to learn and grow from that is to ignore them completely! I also really love the vehicle armour style of 40k compared to 30k, so have done my best to modify relic vehicles to be in line with this aesthetic. A reference to my colourscheme can be found at my previous attempt to document my progress here: Standard Tangamarine Construct: The Fire Falcons return! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword and Fire Falcons Project Log -Scratchbuilt Sicaran, now updated! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword and Fire Falcons Project Log -Scratchbuilt Sicaran, now updated! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword Some of these will be making a reapparence at some stage since I was unlucky enough to drop my collection a few years ago, and I never got round to repainting after stripping a few back for some major repairs. I will update this first page with links and additional information as time goes on!

So I'm getting back into the game. And while I've never claimed to like ultramarines (too "superman-y", for my tastes). I do really like studying the roman imperial period of world history. Thus we have a match made in terra. My goals in the project or fourfold: + Build an Ultramarine army that completely pushes the roman elements to the limit, both aesthetically and tonally. + Really push the more dramatic elements of space marine design. I'm talking filagrees, parchment, eagle helmets, etc, while still maintaining, point number 1 + Keep these guys fully grimdark. While they may be heroes, they are NOT human. They are superhuman weapons and looking at these guys in their bright blue armor should be terrifying. + Increase my abilities in both sculpting and molding. I'm fairly deft at green stuff sculpting, but I'm out of practice and could be better. Some photos up soon.
