Hey there all, just came to post some pics and hopefully get some feedback.

 

These are just testers for the most part, probably not going to invest heavily into TAC until I get a DoA army list hammered out.

I managed to acquire a box of DC, which got me back into warhammer again. Just stuck the shoulder pads to fluff things up a bit

Failed at this initial basecoat attempt. I was shooting in the dark from recollection what I remembered back when I was a kid with regards to painting techniques :lol:

Almost got there with this one, but still not where I wanted it.

This would be currently the furthest I've managed with test painting. Ignore the chipping, that's just some experimenting with new brushes.

And this would be the latest marine I've been working on. I finally achieved a good layering for the basecoat - not streaky or pooled up, lots of damp thin layers.

 

I will be adding more pics as they come. And I am anticipating the arrival of all my sprues this coming weekend.

I'm a veru slow painter and last months I haven't had any time to post, and even less to paint. Whereas this month I found some time and could finish my Lemartes. It is the very first time I try some glowing effect as in the eyes and the lava base, so I hope you like it. C&C will be so wellcome.

Ooooh, I love the shaved-down shoulder pad, Helios! That looks much better than I'd have thought.

 

The Sanguinary Guard himself looks very nice, too. :angry:

 

Maybe give the gold a fine highlight like you did on the black? But it looks fine as is, so no real need.

Thanks Ancient God :) The gold is high lighted, it's just really hard to capture on my camera, you can see it on the top of the jump pack in the last picture though. I try not to highlight too much as i like my models to have a more dark appearance.
