Warlord Titan

Recommended Posts

The Iron Warriors allied Warlord I'm going to build will be a mere 600mm tall, but I'll will have it focused on details rather then hight, and I'm going to build it out of wooden components for added strength and possibly cover it plasticard to add detail to the armour plates.

So the Apocalypse book has offical Warlord rules? Great! :Adds Apocalypse Rulebook to "to buy" list:

Yeah, the Apocalypse book has it all
Well, no, no it doesn't. Even limiting the types of Titans of interest to the Ad Mech Imperium, we are missing Knights (in all their various types) Reavers and Imperators. So, more are missing than are given.... sure, we can go to the unofficial BoLS legendary unit datafaxes, but GW should be releasing these on a monthly basis until ALL the available Epic units are covered. And we know how that is going...

You might want to message AhzeeDahak on this forum- he's building a Nurgle-corrupted Warlord Titan for Apocalypse. So far the project has involved a lot of balsa wood, dowels, spray foam, and Bond-O ...

He's really quite mad. Should be expected, though, since TS were his first army...

Yup.

A warlord with the mark of Khorne is called a Banelord (with Reaver class Ravager Titan and scout class Feral) with the mark of nurgle a Plaguelord (with Reaver class Repugnant Titan and scout class Fester), with the mark of Tzeentch a Changelord or Warplord (Reaver class Auger and scout class Diviner and Oracle), and with the mark of Slannesh a Pleasurelord (not to be confused with the House Devine knight class machines:Hell strider, Hell Scourge or Hell Knight or the Reaver class Reviler and Slanesh scout class titans: the Subjugator and Questor)

Chaos is always so confusing. Go figure.

If you are referring to the one link I left in your quote, that was in Nottingham, the scenario was the assualt on the palace during the Horus Heresy. They have since removed all the figs, and I have no idea where they went. I'm sure there are more photos in a WD somewhere...

Here's a pic from the Emperor class Titan "Warmonger" variant.

Though I don't know exactly how large it would be in 40K, but due to the fact that most 40K Warlords are about 600-700mm tall in 40K scale, I'ld say the Emperor class Titan would be at least 950-1.000mm. tall in 40K scale.

The Warmonger is an anti-titan variant Emperor class titan. The Imperator has more all around firepower. And yes, the battle fortress on the back with a chapel, no less, makes it the largest mobile land unit fielded by the Imperium.

Armorcast had one prototype under construction back in the early 90's, which stands about 40 inches in height.

Artistic liscense has Warlords as large as mountains as well, so I'd only use the old Epic scale models for comparison.

While on the topic of Titans, especially Warlords, is there any site that offers Color plates/references for the different Legions? I have a 40K scale Warlord, and am in need of a paint reference for it.

To be honest, I doubt the superheavy Emperor Titans are as big as Mount Everest itself. 8.000+ m. tall warmachine is simply TOO bald. I know, Imperial Battleships are 8 km. long, but seriously, a 8 km. tall walking gun fortress? Try double the size of a Warlord, which is aproximately 45-60 m. tall. Think about transporting this behemoth from planet to planet. You would need one heck of a huge Mechanicus Forgeship to transport a Mount Everest-sized Emperor Titan.

so, I would say Emperor Titans are 90-120 m. tall, rather then Mount Everest-sized, but hey, that's my oppinion.
