Brother Cap'n
Those are truly awsome ;) I wish GW made marines like that. How did you do them anyway, I must know so I can make my own BC Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130525-pre-heresy-truescale-worldeaters/#findComment-1503095 Share on other sites
synapse
well, the legs and arms are terminator ones, though the legs have been extended at both the shin and thigh and completely covered in gren stuff. the body is scratchbuilt. Brother Cap'n
I might give them a go myself. Not that they'll be anywhere near as good as yours. Alph
Well you managed to tempt me into signing up on these boards one more time just to say WOW, I'm really impressed and can't believe how nice they look. The weapons look a good size, the heavy flamer is amazing, i find the blood splatter just right, enough for a world eater without being OTT. Every model also looks so very very dynamic. only minor critique is that i'm surprised you didn't shift the fore grip of the bolter as well as the mag Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130525-pre-heresy-truescale-worldeaters/#findComment-1503226 Share on other sites
solid snake drive
Amazing! They are what the space marines should be. Rough, Tough and Scary Big. Alpha PTP
The bases of the models don't do them justice. I think with your talent you could have done a lot more with the bases, and go the extra mile to make them something truly special. Otherwise, I'm in awe. spec10
That's exactly how i imagined them to look like in "Galaxy in Flames" :) And personally I do like the bases. Sometimes it needs a special base to create a good picture, but in this case the picture is just fine for me with those simple bases. (Simple not meant as an offense, coz mine often are even more simple than that :P) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130525-pre-heresy-truescale-worldeaters/#findComment-1503408 Share on other sites

BrotherAtrox
Probably the best truescale marines I've seen. The legs are well positioned and proportioned. The one marine on the far right has a slightly awkward stance. Really great work. Flamer marine is my favorite I think. They're a tad too big for my liking, but still great none-the-less Could ya do a quick guide on how you did the blood spatter please? BrotherDamascus
oh my Emperor :| im sure ive sen these fellas elsewhere - but every time i look at them they get cooler! your after coments you say? - love those bases : particularily the sarge's - drop dead gorgeous ;) - love these conversions - especially that heavy flamer ^_^ might a fellow hobbyist ask where the sarges chainsword is from? love it :) looks ork-y, but i just cant place it :P Painting wise : got to be some of the best marines i have EVER seen - and i nose at things all the time ;) Truely spectacular. looking at the parts required i think i get how construction goes. but its the GS part that stumps me. i dont suppose you could help me out there? id loveto build a few :) Cheers :) <<Damascus>> Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130525-pre-heresy-truescale-worldeaters/#findComment-1503925 Share on other sites
synapse
thanks for all the comments people! the sarges chainsword is two ork plastic chainswords - the tip off one added to the 'base' of the other. the bloodsplatter was a 1/1/1/1 mix of blood red/red ink/brown ink/paint gloss varnish. at first it was stipple donto the models semi-randomly, if you get what i mean. then i splattered some blood on certain parts of the models using a toothbrush, drawing my finger across it. then i touched up some parts with gloss varnish to reall make them look wet and regaring the bases - im not 100% pleased with them myself - the red as intended to be a mars like base, though it ended up more like... pink stuff! i was thinking of putting some more industrial stuff on them, and scattering some snow effet, and then adding blood stains to the snow - gotta love blood-splattered snow! maybe when i finish the next squad :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/130525-pre-heresy-truescale-worldeaters/#findComment-1503988 Share on other sites
