Yeah that Daemon Engine is just pure awesomeness! I too believe GW failed to take the daemonic engine idea farther in 40K. There is so much they could expand upon especially adding some flavor for us Chaos Space Marine players :P Cant wait to see it painted in all its crazy daemonic glory.

if you mean the dimpled carapace,it was made by first putting clingfilm over a lego hero head to get the shape and a layer of green stuff spread over .when it was dry i took it off and the toy was unharmed  then another layer of green on the first and dimpled it with the base of a GW paintbrush

this is amock up idea i have so far

thanx guys ,the first construct is a defiler with a daemonclaw twist.the second one i am undecided,it is either going to be another defiler of a spawn depending on how i model the weaponry, more pics to come

Looks awesome mate (pardon the aussie),

as to the issues with the GS not sticking to the white plastic, have you tried sanding off the shine that is on the plastic. This would have the added bonus that paint will stick better as well.

thanx guys

biohazard :the new vauhl is just blue tacked at the moment as i am trying to get the pose just right,he is just at ease untill then ;)

ok on with the new idea for the spagetti monster ,i wasnt very taken myself with the first idea as i wanted something more predator like so i decided to go with a kind of basking shark mouth which could double as a battle cannon due to the size.

what do you think creepy enough ???

cheers for looking and comments . i am always glad to here your ideas and get input, as a lot of times with scratch builds like this it can get frustrating as you run into a mind blank for ideas or direction

cheers D

Veeery cool. I haven't been posting but I've been a fan of this log from the start, and firestorm40k is quite right in saying your sculpting is really coming along. One thing though; if the areas on top between the armour plate and the new mouth/cannon/protrusion are planned to have eyes put in them (this is based off the front on view), I think you could potentially do something more menacing. If not, carry on
