mmmmm that was a nice cookie lol

the pic was from the cover of necroscope iv deadspeak by brian lumley

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/RSCN7938.jpg

as you can see the pic is a lot more involved than my attempt but hey they pay artists to do that kind of work ;)

i have been messing around with the new necron flier as a convert to vauhls army as a hellblade or talon  never can get it right ;) this is what i have so far only to realise his legs will be covered  but hey theres conviction for you

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7909.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/RSCN7919.jpg

also a bit of work on spagetti monster

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7914.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7915.jpg

and theres more .after marvelling at sublte discords awesome work Legion Rising, Projects from the Dark Maufactorium i have dabbled a bit in the shallow end of the pool leaving him to swim lengths around me :P here we have the vauhl harrack templates

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7920.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7921.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7922.jpg

also been working more on the skorpion brotherhood faction as this part of the warband is increasing rapidly so it needs a leader

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7910.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7911.jpg

heres the closeups

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/RSCN7918.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/RSCN7917.jpg

name will follow when i can think up one

and since the skorpion brotherhood are a larger force and based around marines and vehicles i decided to play them with the basic marine rules since chaos is dead in the water with options at the moment. with a small amount of work in friendly games mainly so i could field this

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7912.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN7913.jpg

and am i the only guy on this board who likes the talon as it is  it just grew on me

thanx for looking

comment and crit welcome

I've got to say I've always been a fan of your chaos work. Everything seems so different and individual, just as chaos should be. I love to character of the models. There is no such thing as plain or generic in this army.

The freehand on the sorcerer is incredible. The lightining on the vehicles is excellent and the Necron/chaos flier is looking very promising (I'm pretty jealous of you GS skills :P)

If you haven't already, you should check out the E Tenebrae Lux challenge. That flier would make a perfect entry.

thanx for the encouraging replies guys

tanith ghost@ i found the talon pretty easy to put together so much better than the elastic band fiddly landspeeders thoughi found the pin that holds the main thrusters to be tooo flexible

kizzdougs@i am planning something different for the E tenebrae lux thingy just got to check out the rules

kol saresk@there is a whole load of the necroscope books ,it deals with vampires (the realistic ones not the sparkly fairies :tu: )wearwolves(who keep their shirt on longer than two minutes  )talking to the dead alternate dimentions ,and a secret branch of gifted agents hunting them down ;)

heres a bit more to the talon including attempting to weather it up

Wow, so much great stuff going on here.

I really like those Rhino additions, are they made from plasticard? Would really like to know how you did those as they really are something special. '

Also really enjoying the Storm Talon, that thing looks brutal.

thanx guys

brother syth@ they are made from very thin plasticard cut to the size of the doors . designs made up and drawn on then cut as carefully as i could with a very sharp blade ,it was slow and tricky and although its not the neatest i am generally happy with the initial attempt

Loving the updates. I also love the freehand on the cloak and the reference to the Harry Keogh books Ive read most of Brian Lumleys books and especially like the Vampire World spin off from the Necroscope series. The more I see the Stormtalon the more Im starting to like it as well, especially in more subdued colours like yours.

PS Brassscorpion FTW :)
