keirdale go with the triple halberd its a bit fiddly but it is so cool

subtle discord the witchcraft is just practic practice and experimenting to see what you can do ,remember this stuff takes a good couple hours until its no longer workable so plenty of time to squish it all up and try again.... ;) believe me i have done that a few times :blush:

and i cant stress enough about keeping it wet as it stops your tool sticking(ooh steady there :lol: ) and ruining your hard work

First, your army is mind-boggling. The way that you have things painted is truly Tzeentchian :blush:

 

Second, thank you for the quick tutorial on how you do greaves. I'm working on an Obliterator cult, and that's exactly the info I need to cover up some loyalist terminator legs!

ammonius thanx for your kind words and glad to be of help,one word of advice is i would use a pencil or similar size for termy sized greaves to get a wider spread

here is a little update of how the greaves look,you can see i have attempted a chestplate as well ,the lighter green is where i shaved it down a little which looks fine when painted.also legs can be shaved down to limit the spreading of the plate base

this is all experimenting at the moment so with a little practise and a few more mistakes i may get it all right ;)

chestplate on the last guy is a sevrin loth bodyguard mould :lol:

this guy shows that with a minimal cut and greenstuff to the one leg you can make the wild berzerker leg look better

I've just spent the last hour reading all 16 pages of this awesome thread and i've been really inspired to did out my chaos marines and finish what i started a long time ago.

 

I was wondering though what happened to the warhound is she finished?

loken86 unfortunately the warhound is still in the paintshop as i was pulled in the direction of the greenstuff work ,though i really must get back to it .i just cant seem to stick with one thing for too long :cry:

basically they are shinguards kind of like the forgeworld iron armour so i fix to cover the front and side as in this picture
