The only reason im painting the tactical markings on is i prefer the look of them painted + i dont have enough decals to do all my SM! There are numerous examples of chapters with the same symbol but a different color and even a couple with the same color symbol but different color armor. Its just a way of distinguishing the sgts of each squad Tactical Sgts - White/blue helmets Assault Sgts - Red helmets Devastator Sgts - Green helmets Command Sgts - Yellow helemts Terminator Sgts - ???? Yeah my terminator squads made out of 4 older metal terminators and 1 new black reach terminator that came free with WD.
